MGIAGF: Jealous

Chapter 13

"Woah! There's a lot of channels in here!" Rapunzel gushed as she kept clicking on the remote control.

Hiccup smiled as he looked at her. "Yep. That's what mortal people use to keep themselves entertained." He said, sitting down at the sofa beside her.

"Really?" She asked, her curiousity peaking up.

He nodded. "Yes. But that's not the only thing they do to entertain theirselves."

The blonde eagerly sat closer to him. "What are those?"

"They use cellphones, and other different gadgets like computers, tablets and such. Some people watch movies. And a whole lot more." He informed.

"That's a lot." She said, overwhelmed by all the new things around her.

The brunet nodded. "Yeah. But don't worry, I'll teach you more about their world." He promised with a smile.

"Thank you so much!" She replied, smiling back.

Frankly, Hiccup thought that it'd be harder for him to lure her to come with him to his house, but then again, she's naive and gullible. He could actually bring her back to the temple now, but she's strong, she could easily escape him.

So, he thought that the best way to get her back to the painting was to get her trust and to convince her to go back. After all, her fascination in this world draws her nearer to him.

"You want some beef?" He asked, standing up from the couch.

When she heard those words from him, she immediately looked up at him and nodded, her green eyes were twinkling. She's gonna eat beef again!

Hiccup couldn't help but to smile and look at her while she's happily eating beef in front of her. "You really like beef, don't you?"

Rapunzel looked at him before smiling and nodding. "This meat is so good! I think this cow came from a fresh farm."

He chuckled. "And now you're an investigator of cows."  He jokingly remarked as she just giggled.

While they're eating, she kept on asking about the mortals which he answered truthfully.

She learned a lot of things and facts not just about their world, but also about how the people are living their lives today.

"Hiccup, before, I saw a white porcelain well. What was that for?" She asked as he gave her a puzzled look.

"White porcelain well? Where did you see that?" He asked.

"Hm. I saw it in a room they call 'bathroom'." She answered.

And that was the moment when he suddenly burst into laughter. "Punzie, those are not wells. They are called toilets. People use them to  urinate or to defecate."

Her eyes widened at that. She cringed as she remembered the meat she was eating fell down to it. That was so gross.

Hiccup changed the topic as he told her about malls, restaurants and such as she gladly listened to him.

After they ate, he led her to his veterinary that was adjoined to his house.

"You're a.. what?" She asked him once again.

"A veterinarian. What veterinarians do is to take care and treat animals if they are sick or if they have injuries." He said, wearing his white coat as she just nodded.
