Chapter 10

"Uncle?" Emma called as she was about to go to her school.

The big old man turned to her. "Yes, Emma?"

"Would I ask my brother to come-"

"No. If he doesn't like to come back here, let him be. One day, he'll be crawling back to us." North said, a little bit angry.

Emma looked down. "Oh.. okay. I'll be leaving. Goodbye uncle." She said as she went to her school, it's walking distance so, no worries.

Emma sighed. She hopes that her brother and uncle would be fine now. It's so hard to be stuck in between them.

Suddenly, she bumped into someone.

"Ouch!"

"Ow!"

Her eyes widened as she helped the boy stood up. "Oh, I'm really sorry!"

The boy just smiled. "No, I'm fine."

"Jamie?" She asked as he nodded.

"You're walking to our school, aye? Let me come with you." He said as she smiled and nodded.

Emma and Jamie were studying at the same school, they're in highschool. They're really not that close because they're both in a different section so they barely see each other. But, Jack and Jamie were so close to each other, they're like brothers.

"So.. how's Jack and your uncle?" Jamie asked, looking at her.

Emma looked at him before looking down. "Umm.."

"It's fine if you don't want to say it." He quickly said as she looked up at him. "No, no. It's fine. Actually, they're still not okay. Our uncle is still mad at him." She said sadly as she sighed.

Jamie frowned. "Oh. That's so sad to hear, I'm sorry."

She smiled and shook her head. "Nah. It's fine."

He looked at her, kinda worried. "Are you sure, you're okay?"

She just smiled and nodded. "Yup. Don't worry about me, I'm fine. They'll be okay."

He smiled at her as they stopped in front of their school. "Okay then, I'll be going now. See you later!" Jamie said as he walked to his class. Emma smiled as she watched him disappear in her sights. "Bye." She whispered.

Jack looked at the blonde girl in front of her with wide eyes. Seriously? This girl has a big appetite!

He watched as our golden fox gobbled the cow happily. He shook his head. His money will run out in no time because of her.

"Hey, Jack! Why aren't you eating?" She asked. He rolled his eyes. "How can I eat when you're eating all of the beef?" He said, irritated. Sheesh, if only she's not a golden fox.

She just smiled sheepishly at him. "Eh. The cow here is so delicious!" She said with two thumbs up.

He just sighed as he watched her eat. Seriously, he hasn't eaten because of her.

After she ate, they went outside and went to his singing school. He'll look for One-ler and Merida to lend him some money.

Okay, okay, he knows it's kinda awkward but seriously, his money is so fucked up right now because of her. And he has to keep him happy and full or else, maybe she'll eat him.
