Until Death

Chapter 1

Akimi's POV

Until death, "Akimi! Wait up!" Kura says out of breath, Until Death may I be free, I sigh and slow down as my best friend appears beside me, "Kura, What do you want?" Kura reaches into her bag and hands me a paper, "I wanted to invite you to my halloween party next Friday" she smiles as I look at the paper it was pink and had little black cats and ghosts on it, "Thanks but, I might be leaving town for awhile" she frowns "Oh, well if you do show up be sure to be wearing a costume" she waves before running off to hand out more invitations, I walk into the courtyard, it was lunch time so i went to my usual spot, Outside by the fountain, not many people knew who I was or that I even existed,"Hi whats your name? im Nishki," I look up to see a boy with Dark blue hair and silver eyes,"Im Akimi" I stand up and shake his hand, hes taller then me and has a lip ring,"well its nice to meet you Akimi, uhh Im New here and I need directions to Mr, Mori's class will you show me where that is?" Nishki asks hopeful, "Sure follow me" i turn and started walking to the classrooms i stopped at a big door, "here it is, is there anything else i can help you with?" he looks at me and says no, I wave and start walking back when the bell rings and kids start rushing to their lockers, I sigh as i hear them whisper and laugh then a popular girl confronts me and pushes me down and spits awful names at me, most look away as i cry and pick up my things, i then race to the bathroom still able to hear their laughter,"Why!?!" i scream into the mirror,"Why must i be in this hell!?!"i fall to the ground and crawl under the sink to cry, my red hair falling in my face,'Knock Knock' i hear on the bathroom door, i dont answer all i do is sit there crying, "Akimi, its me Nishki can i come in?" I dont move "Akimi, im coming in," he says as he walks in and looks for me he finally finds me under the sink,"Akimi," he crouches down to look at me, "dont listen to them you are none of those things that she said you were and you dont deserve that kind of treatment" he clinches his fists then holds his hand out for me to take, i take his hand and he helps me out from under the sink, "t-thank you N-Nishki" i smile slightly and walk out, the bell rang a while ago so i was late, once i was in my class i quickly walked to the back and sat down,"Miss. Mear, what is the reason you are late?" Mr. Mori asked in a deep voice,"I-Im so sorry, i had to...run an errand for another teacher" I lied, he nods and i sit back down as he starts talking about ancient fighting, a few minutes later i see a guy with black hair and glasses, Ootory....,"Good afternoon Ootory, what may I do for you?" Mr. Mori looks at the high school student before him, "I need to see Akimi," he glances to me and smiles, I bite my lip and get up from my seat and leave the room with him,"Akimi, I understand you are leaving for a few weeks for a funeral, Im so sorry for your loss," he glances at me,"yeah, my father died recently, my mother is over seas working in the military" i say almost in tears, he stops and pulls me in a hug, i was in complete shock i was in my last year of middle school and he was in his second year of high high school,"Please, my father wants to take you in, will you come with me to sign the papers?"
