Fat is Ugly.

Let me introduce you to the faces of society regarding that statement.

There's one that truly believes that having excess amounts of stored carbohydrates is UUUGLLLYYYY and that everyone who does so needs to be bullied and made fun of to death.

And there's one that believes that anyone who thinks being overweight is ugly, should be sent to the deepest pits of hell as being excessively abnormally unhealthy is OKAY.

Yeah, I know, extremism sucks.

So now i'll give you my views...

The common notion that fat is ugly, has science behind it. (OMG LOOK SCIENCE IS EVERYWHERE ITS SO KEWL #bioNERD)

Back in the day, the cavemen days actually, all people did was eat, sleep and mate with other humans. (Nice to know that not much has changed). But these humans didn't just bang anyone and everyone they came across, no. They had priorities and the main one was ... HEALTH. They wanted to mate with healthy people, produce healthy offspring and therefore create healthy generations that will live on and not go extinct. And they had a specific way of finding out if the person was healthy or not.

And that, was by the looks. Wider hips and bustier chests were appreciated in females whereas broader shoulders, abs and a fiiine jawline was drooled over even back then. Do you know why? its because such characteristics had a higher fertility. (a.k.a. more efficient and healthy babies good god eww ewww)

All these were appreciated back then but as time passed our bodies evolved a bit and now even a dude who has the chubbiest face with a non-existent jawline can do just as well in the ... in the you know what. Though our bodies evolved, our minds kind of stuck on to those thoughts and lo and behold, jawlines and abs are still hot. But its not just that, there's a social reason behind this too.

How many times have you watched a model walk down the runway, or some guy's insta and thought , 'Damn why not meee?'

There you guessed it. Media ... Social media to be specific. Ever since the first means of mass communication was invented, people have been wooed towards getting skinnier and losing weight. In the beginning it probably was actually to help people follow a healthier lifestyle ... but media is all about commerce. They put in what sells best. Flash forward to the 21st century where models on the runway, overly small sized clothing in shops and the social outlook towards skeleton-ism has made people think, 'Fat is Ugly'.

Its come to a point where anorexia is something most people go through. Most Teenagers go through. A child doesn't care enough to think about overeating. Adults don't usually give a shit about it either(Not always though). Teenagers, who are so messed up they don't know what to believe in, will care so much that they starve themselves to a life threatening situation.

Dear society, you are so very very wrong. Fat is not ugly, its unhealthy. Somebody might be a little overweight, maybe a lot, maybe they take up three seats on the bus. But if they're the reason at least one person smiles today, their soul is beautiful enough. Its sad how many people are bullied to the point of suicide just because their bodies store a little bit more glycogen than the others.

And to counter this let me tell you, thinking you're fat is not bad either. Its not a sin if you want to start getting healthier. Its okay as long as you realize that the smile on your face is a bigger priority than the numbers on your scale.

The other day I was at this party and a lady I knew was proudly telling her other lady friend about something that her daughter always said when offered chicken. And she says, "Why don't you like chicken, darling?" to her daughter who is sitting on her lap.

And the kid goes, "Noo Idon't want chicken it'll make me fat!"

The kid was three years old.

And then the mother says, "Kids these days". Sorry female, its not 'kids these days' its 'shitty parenting these days' You're supposed to tell your daughter to stfu and eat the damn chicken. Almost until the age of 7-8 everything a child says and does is copied, this is their intense learning phase. So that kid, learned the phrase from someone in your household. Obviously, no kid is born with the phrase Chicken makes me fat hardwired into their brains. That's another reason. If we grow up watching our parents or older siblings fuss so much over their weight, its natural that we think the same too. Its not wrong.

As long as it doesn't get in the way of who you are. And as long as you don't starve yourself. (Check the Author's Note)

One of the reasons over-eating and not working out is looked down upon (and the only one to which I agree) is that its very very very unhealthy. There's a pretty scary theory that our generation may just bring down the lifespan of humans as a whole just because of our unhealthy eating. Life if worth living, if you weren't worth it, you wouldn't have been given this life in the first place. There are so many amazing things in this world that I'm yet to fan-girl about. It wouldn't be nice if I went *POP* at 25 just because of all the burgers I ate. And so I watch my food intake(PFFTTT HAAA OR TRY TO) and workout when ever I can. But if I see a doughnut and I really want that doughnut, I eat that doughnut! What I'm trying to say is, eat your heart away (lol, no don't). But remember to keep healthy ... and if people try to tell you what to eat, eat them. And their cat.

#HERE'STOYOU. This life was given to you, you do what you want with it.

If you ever feel insecure about yourself just because somebody made you regret that you're a few sizes bigger, always remember you can make them regret they were born(because you're a few sizes bigger). You don't have a perfect abs to flaunt? why not try flaunting that dazzling smile of yours along with a little spark of your personality? Do you know how sad it is when people hide their true selves to the rest of the world?

We're all really unique and different in a million ways. If we actually expressed our originality, imagine what an intriguing world we'll be living in?(Not that we already aren't) instead if we all try to copy the way Kim Kardashian wears her lipstick ... I don't even know what the second part of this sentence is. If you think no one might like to see your real face, let me ask you something ... what if there's someone out there looking for someone just like you? You'd never know if you hide that personality.

Go outside, tell the world (remember to wear your sunscreen its summer) who you really are. You never know what might happen. (Unless you're a psychopath who rips teddy bears' heads off, I can tell you what will happen. The cops are coming for you. RUN IDIOT, RUN)

Hello!

This is something I've always wanted to write on as personally at some point in my life I realized everything I just spoke of in this chapter. I'll be expanding more on Anorexia and the like in the coming chaps ... Stick around.

Oh and ... feedback? Please potatoes, please.

Because I wanna know if you actually like reading part of what goes through my head ... Comment your favorite part maybe? IDK.
