"This is madness!" I exclaimed loudly. My heart was pounding rapidly and I was panting for breath. The fall was dissapointed and a sigh escaped. My eyes still gazed at the table, wich looked too familiar, a tiny bottle was shimmering and my stomach twirled. "Ugh, I think I'm going to get sick...", I sighed. My heart was still pounding as I walked towards the table.
"Where did the Rabbit go", my head hurted and I looked around the room. Many doors, but no Rabbit, how wonderful, he could be anywhere! I rubbed the dust of my jeans and looked at the table again. The little bottle had a card hanging on it, I read it loudly: "Drink me...", I laughed sarcasticly, is this some kind of sick joke? I looked at the bottle with the blue-ish liquid in it, glancing at me and shimmering, it was beautiful. I sighed and raised my shoulders, "Well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I guess", and took a sip. I started shaking and sweating and I soon realised how foolish my action was, sweat was dripping off me and my vision went blurry.
...I was shrinking.
The pocketwatch was getting heavier and I was lucky that my dress shrunk too. What a relieve. I looked at the table wich was getting ginormous. And when I finally stopped, I saw something behind the curtains. I ran towards the curtains and pushed them aside, revealing a small door, big enough for my current size. I grinned and tried to open it, locked, ofcourse. "Stupid tiny door!", I kicked it and then glanced at the table again when I saw something in the corner of my eye. It couldn't be! There was a key on the table, I could've sworn it wasn't there when I drank the potion! I went to the table, just to realise that I couldn't reach it ofcourse, I was too small, but there was hope when I saw crumbs leading to a small chest right next to the table. Curious as I was, I walked to the chest and opened it, where I found a huge cookie. I laughed, I couldn't helped it, I was going insane!
I took a few nibbles from the cookie till I felt a tingle in my stomach, a happy tingle, like butterflies when you're in love, or when you have to giggle when someone tickles you. I smiled while raising up, stretching my dress a little and bouncing my head against the ceiling. Ofcourse I had to bump against something, otherwise I would be happy and that's impossible, I tought sarcasticly. I quickly grabbed the little key and the pocketwatch, wich I layed on the ground because otherwise it would crush me, and took another sip from the potion, still awful. I shrunk again and ran towards the door again while dragging the watch with me and opened the door, a mild summerbreeze flew trough my hair and what I saw was a beautiful garden with huge flowers and plants. But something stopped me, a voice in my head telling me not to go, forcing me to go back where I came from. But then what? I couldn't go back, I came trough a rabbit hole! I took a deep breath and walked into the garden, and I never felt so alive.
I could hear a few sounds, and voices, but even that couldn't stop me, these creatures where curious, really. There were dragonflies, like literally, dragons with the wings of a fly. And most of the animals are wearing clothes wich was quite amusing. I giggled when I saw a pig passing by like a real gentleman, he only looked at me like he was a little bit afraid, so he left me confused. What was that about? But I couldn't ask anymore, because he was gone and I couldn't see anymore, the sun was blinding me. And soon I noticed that this wasn't a regular sun, golden and huge, this sun was blue and tiny. "Well, that's odd", I exclaimed when I looked at it, and suddenly felt something burning me righthand eye, "Auw!" I layed a hand on my face, it was like somthing burned away. I ran trough the garden, looking for some water when I saw a cave with a bowl, standing on a pillar. I couldn't help myself, I needed water. So I ran in the cave and stuck my head in the bowl. The pain was fading away and I looked at myself in the water, the horror. My rightside eye was mostly white, with only a little green moon on it, wich used to be my normal eye! I looked around, but it didn't matter, no one would listen to me here, and for the record, this was probably just a dream, even worse as my nightmares. I was planning to leave when I heard someone singing as if it was standing next to me:
' When I was just a kitten, they said I'd be a gem. But now that I'm a Cheshire cat, it's odd how odd I am!'
And I had to admit, the song was catchy, but I had to continue to find my way back home. I turned around and screamed when I saw someone right in front of me, smiling from one ear to the other, literally. It was a human, but very cat-like, with long, red hair and cat ears and a tail. He was wearing a costume and his cateyes were staring into mine. I was ready to scream again when he put a hand on my mouth. "Oh no, don't shout Miss Alice!", he yelled concerned and I quickly shut my mouth and nodded so he released me. A question popped into my mind ofcourse, "How do you know my name?", I asked and he immediatly smiled widely again. "Everyone knows you if you're wearing the Mark, nice to meet you too by the way" I just raised an eyebrow and opened my right eye again, wich I had closed for a second when he said 'Mark'. But I had my manners, "I'm sorry, but, who are you?", he bowed right after I asked and took my hand wich he kissed. "Just call me Cheshur, I'm a Cheshire cat", he introduced himself. He had a 'purr' in his voice and he looked at me again with his cat eyes so I couldn't look away. "You're not really a cat, aren't you?", I asked, but immediatly regret it when he turned invisible. When he turned back, I could only see a striped cat looking at me, smiling ofcourse. I laughed, "Okay, I'm impressed" I said, while he turned back to his original form and winked at me. "I shall guide you to your next stop.", he said, but I was confused again, "What is my next stop to be precise?",
"You don't know where you're going?"; he said in shock
"Well, no, I don't know this place"
"Ofcourse you know this place, it's Wonderland!"
But I wasn't convinced, I really didn't know this place, although it looked quite familiar when I thought about it. He grinned at me and took my hand. "Then I shall take you to the Hare and The Hatter", he said. He was starting to take me with him when he noticed the watch that I was dragging behind me. "Oh, yes, let me fix that for you", the 'purr' was audible again. He took a bottle out of his pocket and I swear it was the same liquid as I drank to enter this World. "What is that?"
"Pishsalver", he said, not answering a real question. It only raised more questions to be honest. He dropped some of it in the watch and I looked at it when it was shrinking. He picked up the watch and handed it to me. "It's connected to you", he said, when I took the watch and looked at it, "It was dropped for a reason. Do you know who dropped it?", I swallowed an looked him straight in the eye. Everything was mad here so he had to believe me, right? "A white rabbit", I said. He frowned and looked in the distance. "Ofcourse", he said and then quickly turned that frown upside down, that smile again.
"You're able to shrink whenever you want now by the way" he added to our conversation. I looked at him and at the watch. "How...", I started, but he already took the watch and pressed the button. Wich made me hiccup and shrunk so I was looking up at him. "Hey, make me big again!", he laughed and pressed the button again so I had my normal size back. "This is your gift, like shapeshifting is mine, don't let anyone steal this watch from you, understood?", he said seriously and I nodded in agreement.
"Now, the Hatter shall be pleased to see you and The Hare will celebrate again!", he said as we continued our road, laughing...
