"Mreow!" After getting home and warming up the cat, it seemed to spring back to life as if it hadn't collapsed just a few moments ago. Now it was walking around Arthur's small apartment exploring everything and anything, meowing all the way. Arthur sighed relieved at seeing its livelihood and headed to the kitchen to find some food for it. Luckily, he had some spare cat food from when he took care of one his brother's cats for a little while(even though he refused). Even though now he didn't really talk to them, he had left the food there and forgotten to take it out. Lucky him. Arthur took out a small plate and poured the food in it. "Hey cat! Uh...there's some food!" At the mention of food the white cat came charging in and started eating almost immediately. Arthur chuckled at this "You were hungry huh?" The cat simply meowed in agreement before going back to eating. "Hm...what should I call you? I can't keep calling you cat..." The cat ignored him and kept eating until it finished the whole thing.
Once done, it meowed appreciatively at Arthur and jumped up to rest on his lap. "Oi! You bloody cat get off me!" Arthur told it but it simply laid down to rest. Arthur sighed defeatedly and did nothing to remove the creature from his lap. He looked down fondly at it. How could he had fallen in love with the fur ball in such a short time? "You sure a rambunctious cat. Coming into my life like a hurricane and causing mayhem.....mayhem....that's it! I'll name you Mayhem, what do you think?" Mayhem purred in agreement. Arthur smiled, actually smiled . That was his first real smile in a while and he felt truly happy.

Maybe picking up the cat wasn't such a bad idea

Three days had passed since Arthur found Mayhem, and he already wanted to simultaneously kill and hug the cat. Sure, the fluffy tom brought happiness to his life, but it also brought headaches. So far, Mayhem had destroyed two of his couch cushions, broken into his pantry several times, and meowed so loudly in the night that Arthur couldn't get any sleep, and without sleep he was having a hard time with his novel.Even though Arthur had bought him all the necessary things, Mayhem was still a major douche. Mayhem always knew how to get on every single one of his nerves but also knew how to calm him down and get Arthur to forgive him. 'Stupid sly cat' was what Arthur usually though when such things happened, but he couldn't deny he loved the ball of fur all the same. Mayhem helped him forget all the dark things in his life, especially the major wheelchair problem, and brought just a little more light to his dark days.  Their days usually began with Mayhem rudely waking up Arthur:

Mayhem meowed for the twentieth time as he tried getting Arthur to get up from bed. "Go away Mayhem... I'm trying to sleep" he muttered sleepily, lightly pushing the chubby cat away. Mayhem meowed again, clearly annoyed at his masters defiance towards getting up. He wanted to play with him! And he couldn't do so if his master was being a grumpy old man and staying in bed. He huffed in annoyance and jumped on Arthur's stomach, hard. "Oomph! Dammit Mayhem what the hell are you doing?! You're going to kill me!" Arthur wheezed and pushed the cat off of him. After catching his breath he sighed and sat up, glaring at the innocent looking cat next to him. He groaned "Fine I'll play with you, you stupid cat". He reached over the side of his bed and brought his wheelchair close to his bed. He took a deep breath and slid into the chair with a grunt, pulling down his unresponsive legs next. He stayed still for a little bit before rolling out of his room and into the living room, Mayhem following after.

A young man sat in his room, clearly worried about something. His blond hair was messy and his usually bright blue eyes were troubled. A white and orange cat came up to him tentatively and Alfred picked it up and pet it softly. "Hey Spitfire" He said and the cat meowed "Sorry buddy, I still haven't found him. Don't worry though! We'll definitely find him, just hold on a bit longer kay?" Spitfire nodded, although he wasn't that sure himself. He just wanted to be able to see his friend and lover.
