(A/n: DOUBLE UPDATE TODAY BC I LOVE YA'LL)

-

We crossed the street and approached the hospital. It looked about five stories and as if it were completely made of glass on the outside. There were Windows everywhere.

We entered the building and followed a hall until we were in the lobby, and by now it was time that we could go see him. We all strode up to the front desk. Brennen and Loren did all of the talking.

"We're here to see Zachary Clayton? Car crash, I called the hospital." Brennen asked the woman at the desk.

"Let me check his file again...He's ready for visitors currently. He could wake up any minute, possibly," my heart pounded in my chest. " I'll call his main doctor down now to escort you to his room, so I can stay here and deal with other visitors that need me."

She paused for a moment before falling down the doctor.

"You know, I was sure it was a girl I was speaking to on the phone."

"Oh yeah, that– that was me." I told her. She smiled at me, then called the doctor down on an intercom. She asked us to sign in and pushed a clipboard with an attached pen in my direction. I signed, then passed the clipboard and pen to Loren, who passed it to Weston, who then passed it to Mario; then Nick, then Brennen. Brennen handed it back to the woman at the desk, and she informed us that we could sit down and wait for his doctor to come downstairs.

After about ten minutes of waiting, she finally showed up. A slim figured woman came downstairs and conversed with the woman at the front desk. The desk worker made a hand motion towards us, then slid the clipboard that we all signed in on to the other woman standing in front of her. The standing woman nodded her head.

She then turned in our direction.

"Hello, I'm Veronica Lansing. I'm Zachary Clayton's doctor. I'm here to lead you up to his room. However, before we get there, I'd like to warn you all– he's suffered an injury to his head, specifically the bottom of his Temporal Lobes. They're located in the Cerebral Hemisphere of the brain, and his are damaged, so—he may experience some major or minor side affects, depending on the intensity of it. I just ask you all to be prepared when he wakes up."

We all nodded and she turned to walk back up the stairs. We traveled to about the third story and turned down a slim hallway with about 15 doors back to back on either side. We traveled a bit down the hallway until we reached room 424 (A/n: do y'all see what I did there?? 424?? Because they confirmed they were real in a YouNow broadcast on 4/24?? I'm gonna be honest with you I had to look that up while writing this lol have fun with that information). She opened the door as quietly as possible and led all of us inside. She then wished us good luck and closed the door, then left.

We all gathered at the end of his bed. I started to cry on Loren's shoulder. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep, but what would happen when he woke up? How would he react?

I regained composure, then wiped my eyes and looked back up at Zach. He was still lying peacefully asleep, breathing heavy with an ice pack on his head and all of the machines hooked up to him, checking his pulse, heart rate, and the sensitivity to his head.

I thought about what Veronica could have meant by "side affects." I mean, I do understand that he hit his head, yes, but could you be a bit les vague? How hard is it to explain yourself? Just because you're his doctor doesn't mean it has to be such classified information. It's not like we'd exploit it to the press or something, and watch them let the entire world know.

I can just hear it now: "Zach Clayton, also known as famous YouTube sensation bruhitszach on his own channel and on the YouTube collaboration channel 'Our Journey,' also famous on YouNow has just survived a car crash. He has experienced a slight amount of effects to his head and is suffering an injury to only that. We believe he's hit his head and the bottom of his Temporal Lobes (of the Cerebral Hemisphere) were damaged. This insight is brought to us by his best friends and fellow YouTube and/or YouNow stars and closest friends, the rest of Our Journey; because they care so much about him they'd like to exploit his information. Thank you. More on this article tonight."

I'm irked, just by the thought.

I decided that Calling Zach's mom would be a good idea to have. I told Mario this, because I knew if I talked about it, I'd cry again.

I listened in on the conversation.

The phone rang once, then stopped.

Mario had it on speaker. "Hello? Ariel? Is everything alright?" Zach's mom answered.

"Actually ma'am, it's Mario. Ariel gave me her phone because she's a little to shaken up to talk right now. I'm with the rest of Our Journey, too." Everyone said hi, including myself.

"Oh, well hello Mario. What's wrong dear? You sound a bit worried?" Mario gulped, then cleared his throat.

"Well, uh—there's been a bit of an accident, Mrs.Clay–"

"Oh? What's wrong? Is my baby hurt?"

"Well..Zach got in a car crash. He didn't break anything, though, just hit his head. He's okay. We're in his hospital room right now. We forgot to tell you in the commotion of it all. It was about two hours ago, we thought we should tell you he's fine and he can have visitors."

She paused before answering Mario. "Alright. Thank you, Mario. And Ariel–stay strong for me, baby. I know you're hurting just as much as me, but we both know he'll be okay." I was surprised by her comment. Did she know how I felt the whole time? Doesn't that mean Zach did too?

"O-okay. Thanks Apryl," I answered.

"Bye guys, I'll be up to visit in about an hour. Love you all."

We all told Zach's mom goodbye and Mario hung up the phone. He handed it back to me and I stuffed it in my back pocket. I started to pace across the room again, this time at the foot of Zach's bed.

I stopped eventually, then stood over by Loren again, who was playing around while I studied Zach for a few seconds.

All of a sudden, he started to wake up.

His eyelids twitched lightly and opened slowly. He brought his hand up and rubbed them a bit, then brought it back down and sat up a little, shifting his weight to his elbows so he could see us all standing at the foot of his bed.

I turned to Loren's shoulder and let my head drop. I began to cry again. This time, it wasn't a bad reason. He was awake. He wasn't too harmed. My cries turned into soft laughter and Loren turned to wrap her arms around me.

"You're okay, Ariel. He's awake." She put her head closer to mine to whisper in my ear. "But uh, I think you should probably look up..Zach looks confused," She said in a worried tone.

I looked up at the rest of the boys. Weston and Mario gave me weak smiles, Brennon and Nick exchanged glances.

Nick Motioned to Zach. I looked over at him, his perfect blue eyes wide with confusion.

I had a relatively good idea as to the "side affects" the doctor had been talking about.
