It was pitch black....Frisk could feel themselves falling, it seemed like an endless fall. They finally landed, on something that felt like a patch of flowers, was it the same patch of flowers they had landed on when they had first come to the underground? Surely not...it just couldn't be.... "F-Frisk?? I-Is that you?! ", spoke a tiny voice. Frisk recognized this voice. "A-Asriel?" , they said. " Oh my god! F-Frisk, it really is you!!! W-was Sans right all along...? About....you coming back? I....Thought there were going to be no more resets.......I-I missed you so much!!! I thought I'd never see you again! W-We have so much to catch up on!!!", he spoke with a shaky voice " "What am I doing back here?", Frisk thought.... Nonetheless, they were overjoyed to hear Asriel again. " Asriel....What..am I... Doing back here ... I should be....dead.....", They say, trying to find where the talking flower was.... They were still blind and numb from the flowers that covered their body, despite being back, the flowers had not disappeared, which annoyed them. Finally, Frisk had found where Asriel was planted, and sat in front of him. "Frisk, I have soooooooo much to tell you! Every since you died....I've been pretty lonely... the same goes for Sans...", Frisk perked up at that name, "Sans......I....miss him...", So Asriel, tell me..whats been happening lately...from the start please..."
Sans woke up in his bed. "What? I don't remember being back here...'", he thought. He was back at his house in Snowdin. "Maybe I just came back here and passed out, I probably just don't remember", he sighed. "SANS! WHERE ARE YOU? I SWEAR, IF YOUR NOT IN HERE, YOUR DUST!!!", Papyrus shouted in anger. Sans slowly went out of his bed, got dressed, did whatever it was Papyrus wanted him to do, and headed out. "*Sigh*, I think I'll go and visit Frisk's grave",he whispered in sorrow. Sans would usually visit their grave at least once or twice a week, sometimes Asriel would be there, sometimes he would not. Frisk's grave was the only place where Sans would not be disturbed, while he was there, he would grieve for hours, thinking about the time he had met them, the times they shared at Grillby's, and....the times...he has killed them... It angered him....how he was so stupid, he had killed an innocent human, numerous times... While walking to the ruins, Sans thought about how kind Frisk was, they were always kind, they would show mercy on anyone, no matter what they did. That's what made Frisk unique....and also why Sans liked them. He started to tear up a bit as he neared the doors of the ruins, the very place which he had first , met them... Toriel no longer lived at the ruins, she went back to the royal palace with Asgore, so it was safe for Sans to go in. He walked swiftly, avoiding the puzzles that stood in his way, until he finally reached the end. He hesitated to walk forward, every time he arrived near the grave, memories and thoughts would come flooding into his head, it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. As he walked forward he froze in shock..... he saw Asriel...and.......Frisk..."My eyes must be playing tricks on me....this..can't be real at all..", He thought. He approached cautiously. "S-Sweetheart?"
Frisk stopped talking at the sound of that voice... his voice... They turned around slowly, "S-Sans? Is tha-", they paused, they wanted to make sure that it was really him, but it was no lie...it was really him...it was really Sans. "Sans!", they cried, as they tried to stand up and walk, they were numbed everywhere, and were about to collapse when they heard Sans rush over and catch them. Frisk touched his face, he was crying...and smiling. "Sans! It's been a while since we've seen each other!", Asriel gleamed, but Sans ignored him, his focus was on Frisk. "Sweetheart...you..came back...finally..", he whispered under his breath. " Sans, I.....missed you so....much!!!", they replied, Frisk too, seemed to be tearing up. They sat in silence, both were crying tears of happiness, no one spoke for a while, until Asriel interrupted them, "Um.. Sans, I don't mean to intrude but....Does your brother know your here?". Sans perked up, "No...he doesn't", he replied. Asriel seemed to panic a bit, but later calmed down, not wanting to ruin the moment. Suddenly they heard the voices of enemies coming from the depths of the catacombs. "I think we should get going", Asriel suggested. Sans nodded and picked up Frisk, "I'll bring you to the inn", he said as Asriel wrapped his vines around Sans' arm. As they walked Sans scanned Frisk multiple times, making sure that they were alright. "So... Frisk you finally decided to reset?", the tiny flower asked. Frisk shook their head, "I...didn't reset...I-I have no idea how I even got back..", they stuttered. Sans raised his non-existent eyebrow, "You didn't? Eh, I guess that isn't important right now, we should focus on getting you to Snowdin". He realized that Frisk was still wearing his jacket, he had given it to them in the last timeline, when they got cold. He smiled "I missed you sweetheart".
Finally, they arrived at Snowdin, it was still pretty early, so there was no point in bringing Frisk to the inn just yet, so instead he had another idea. "Uh...So, honey, wanna go to Grillby's?", those words felt weird on his tongue, he hasn't said that in a very long time, well to be honest, he barely spoke to anyone, only Papyrus and Asriel, and ever since Frisk died, he hasn't gone to Grillby's, the memory of it would slightly upset him. Frisk nodded at the idea with a warm smile, as they made their way into the restaurant. Just like old times......As always they would pass each other their desired toppings and ate their meal. It was nice, Sans had never felt this happy in such a long time. "Ya know, I've been feeling really bonely up until now", he chuckled. Frisk giggled like always, Sans had missed hearing that laugh, Frisk was the only one who actually appreciated his jokes, Papyrus hated them, Toriel was no longer at the ruins so he couldn't practice knock-knock jokes with her, and Asriel didn't really have a knack for comedy. Honestly Papyrus didn't really like anything that Sans did, he was always in a horrible mood, and still had something against humans, even though the barrier had been broken. Which is why Sans decided to bring Frisk to the inn instead of his own house, he couldn't risk having Papyrus find them and kill Frisk. He didn't want them to have more flowers on their body, it was a huge disadvantage for them. The three chatted for a while longer, Sans had realized that it had turned dark outside, but he didn't care, he wanted to spend more time with Frisk. Once they had finished their meal, Sans brought Frisk to the inn. He was prepared to leave, he turned around one last time before walking away, "Cya tomorrow......Sweetheart....", and with that, he disapeared.
