Chapter 3

After Zero left, I've been feeling a bit better. I changed myself into the white Night Class uniform and I got my own dorm right next to Kaname's. "If you need anything, I'm right next door to you and don't forget, we leave in 5 minutes for class," Kaname said then closed the door. I begin to brush my hair and examine my appearance. Kaname and I have the same facial features. I look like a female version of him but with black and white hair. After staring at my appearance, I begin to leave my dorm to walk with the Night Class to our class. I'm at the front with Kaname and he puts an arm around me to keep me close to him. Kaname and I have a tight bond. We're always together and we never argue. As soon as the gate opens, I hear loud fangirl screams. "Hi Kaname-senpai!" I hear every girl scream. Then everyone goes silent when they see me at Kaname's side. I swear all of them gave me death glares. "Calm down everyone, this is just my younger sister Katsuka," Kaname smiles warmly. I swear I felt as if my ears were gonna fall off when everyone screamed "What!?" and then I heard people saying "She's so cute!" "A mini Kaname!" "But she's so short!". I sigh and look over to see Zero beside Yuki who is trying to hold back the fangirls. I smile and wave at him and he waves back at me with a slight smile. Kaname tugs me towards him and I look up at him. "What?" I ask. He says nothing and keeps a fixed gaze in front of him. When we get to class I lean against the wall. "Is it like that everyday?" I groan. "Yes but you learn to live with it," Ichijou smiles. "I love it! All the ladies love me!" Aido says dreamily. I chuckle and roll my eyes. "Alright you vampires, settle down so I can get to teaching," I hear a gruff voice say. I look over to see the famous vampire hunter Yagari Toga. I nod at him. "Hello Yagari-sensei," I smirk at him. He scoffs then looks me straight in the eye. "Kuran Katsuka," he mumbles. I smile cheekily and wave. As Yagari goes on with the lesson I feel an aching pain in my head. I take one of Kaname's blood tablets since I don't have my own yet and I drink it down with water. The pain subsides a bit but I feel a bit dizzy. "Kaname, I'm gonna go back to the dorm I don't feel well," I tell my older brother and he nods and goes up to tell Yagari. I leave the building and start making my way to the Moon Dorm. "You're supposed to be in class Kuran," I hear a growl beside me. "Stop trying to act like you're big and bad, I don't feel well so I'm going to lay down," I smirk at Zero. He chuckles then looks at me with slight concern. "You alright?" He asks. "Just a bit dizzy, nothing too bad," I smile at him. Speaking of my dizzyness, its gone away. Why is it always when I'm around him? "Want me to walk you to the dorms?" Zero asks. I nod and walk beside him. The atmosphere soon becomes silent and awkward. "So, why exactly do you hate us vampires?" I blurt out. Zero immediately stops and narrows his eyes at me. "S-Sorry I just wanted to know," I bow down apologetically. He sighs then takes me into the woods so we can't be heard. "Its all because of that pureblood who killed my family," Zero mumbles and looks down. "Even if I am one myself now, I'll never like vampires as long as I live," He growls. His words pierce my heart like a knife. "I-I see, I should be heading back now," I look down at my feet, my hair covering my face. "W-Wait Katsuka, I didn't mean-" before he can finish his sentence, I run off back to the Moon Dorm and go straight to my room. I lay down on my bed, Zero's words replaying in my mind. 'I shouldn't like Zero...Kaname would never approve. But...why does his words hurt so much?' I thought to myself as I fall asleep.
