My Love [Vampire! Yami X Yugi] {On Hold}

Chapter 2 - The Vampire

{Yugi's POV}

I opened my eyelids to see that I was in bed. Remembering the incident last night, I lookd around the room, trying to find the vampire that had saved me.

"He's gone huh..." I sighed heavily as my hope dropped considerably.

I stood up and stretched my figure. I walked towards the bathroom until I notice a little something in the corner of my eye. I immediately approached my desk where the thing was. It was a note.

Dear Little One,

I am pureblood vampire and my name is Yami. I will always protect you from any kind of danger so you may not worry. If you need help, just call my name. Even a soft whisper of yours will not escape my ears, for I am your vampire.

I blushed when I read 'for I am your vampire'. A smile slowly creeped onto my face while there was a tint of pink on my cheeks.

I continued down to my bathroom and slowly took off peces of clothing one by one. I put my pjs in the laundry basket and took a quick shower.

I was done with my shower so I walked to my closet and took out my uniform which consist of a navy blue jacket, a black leather tank-top, black leather pants that matchesthe tank-top, 2 belts, and a choker. I started wearing them one by one.

I went to the living room then to the kitchen to have been greeted by grandpa.

"Good morning Yugi! You're early today!" My grandpa yelled as he baked some pancakes.

"I just wanted to be early once in my life." I cheerfully said to grandpa as I approached the fridge to grab some orange juice. I took 2 glasses and poured each of them orange juice, then I placed them down on the table. One for grandpa and one for me.

When grandpa was done with the pancakes, he put them down on plates and put my plate of pancakes in front of me.

"Yum! They look delicious!" I gobbled down my delicious breakfast, and in no time, I was done eating my breakfast.

"Thanks grandpa, that was delicious! I'm gonna head off to school now!" I headed for the door and went outside, running to the school gates.

I arrived at school and saw my friends waiting for me, I guess I wasn't that early after all.

It was now lunch time and I met up with my friends at the rooftop. When Ushio died, his gang has been dispatched, and I was pretty happy for that.

My friends went to the arcade while I had to go home since I promised grandpa that I'd help him, good thing Ushio isn't here anymore.

Suddenly I was dragged away to an alleyway. Why?

"Hey you kid! You must've been the one who killed our leader!" A boy what I though Ushio's gang said.

"I didn't do it!" I tried to yell but was punched in the stomach.

"Liar!" Another one said as he punched me in the face.

Countless times I was hit, and even though they were not as strong as Ushio, I was hit many times, and they were strong as well.

"Argh!" I screamed in pain as some of my bones broke. Then I remembered.

If you need help, just call my name.

"Y-Yami..." I scoffed out a soft whisper. A whisper not even heard by them.

Suddenly, a vampire came flying down from above. "Y-Yami..." He looked at me first then came running to my aid.

"Hold still Little One. You will be fine." He reassured me.

He then stood up and glared at the guys. In a split second, all of them were on the ground, dead. Blood of pools were seen under the Ushio's boys. I was horrified at the scenery but I was not terrified by Yami. Instead, a new strong feeling grew in me.

As Yami was done with the boys, he ran back to my aid and carried me - bridal style. I would've squeeled if I was still healthy, but I was in a terrible state.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was in my room and on my bed. I sat up and tried to walk but I immediately fell again, cluthing my stomach in pain. "Argh..."

Then the door opened and I saw Yami standing there. I blushed when I saw him, he was the definition of beautiful himself. "Are you okay Little One? You shouldn't move just yet." Yami ran to my aid and helped me up to my bed again.

"T-thanks Yami..." I stopped for a second, thinking back over whether I should ask him or not. "Yami..."

"Yes?" He asked, his deep baritone voice sent chills down my spine.

"W-why a-are you h-helping me? You a vampire, and you a pureblood...?" I had second thoughts but decided to ask him anyways.

"B-because you are precious to me. More than you think you are." He had a faint blush on his cheeks. I giggled at his reaction and he blushed harder.

"Well I'm glad that I can count on somebody!" I smiled, he was beet red by now.

Suddenly grandpa's voice was heard from outside of my room. "Yugi? Are you there?" Grandpa's worried tone gave it away. He must've not known that I was home.

"Yes grandpa! I'm here!" I tried to sound as convincing as possible.

"I'll call you down when dinner's done!" He yelled, his worried tone going back to his usual cheerful one.

"Okay!" I replied.

I looked back to Yami and saw that he was gone. "Why am I disappointed?" I started to prepare to go to bed. Good thing there was no assignments for tomorrow.

{Yami's POV}

"Calm yourself Yami. You can't drink his blood." I tried to calm myself down since I haven't drank any blood in the past week. I was busy watching over my Yugi and I can't remove my sught from him even once. He doesn't know what kind of meaning he has to me.

"Maybe I should go hunting a bit..." I mumbled to myself but immediately denied it since the last time I went hunting, Yugi was hurt badly.

Flashback

My fangs were showing and my hunger was going to control me sooner or later. I didn't want to drink my precious Yugi's blood so I went hunting a bit. He was fine, he was with his friends at that time so I was reassured. Oh how wrong I was.

When I came back to him, he was in an alleyway and he was beaten by Ushio - Domino High's bully. He was screaming in pain and was badly hurt. When I was about to help him, Ushio was done and he had left. And Yugi was trying to go back home - in which he had succeeded.

End

I vowed to myself that I would never leave Yugi. And I will keep the vow. I will never leave Yugi.
