Finally we made it to Middle Hall, which stood in the middle of town looking even more scarier and mysterious than it had ever looked before. I now felt terrified. Not knowing what might take place in this dreadful hall.
"Are you ready?" I asked a now very nervous looking and gloomy looking Dad.
"As ready as I'll ever be. Be careful." Dad muttered back looking at me and trying to smile as if to reassure me, but failing miserably.
"Well it's now or never," I told Dad, before walking to the door and forcing it open with such force that it flew back and crashed into the wall, creating an echo through the empty looking, dark hall. I winced at the sound, before walking in. My footsteps echoing around the room every time I took a step.
"Hello?" I asked, loudly trying not to sound too nervous or terrified, like I felt inside.
"You actually came," A voice came from within the shadows replied. Even though I couldn't see him, I knew he was a guy, and that he was glaring at me. I could pretty much feel him glaring holes into my eyes. It was the way his force sounded and the way I felt that made me sure of it.
"Yeah we did. Where's Jake?!" I yelled, getting straight the point. I was scared. I wanted to get out of this dark place as quick as I could.
"Here. You kept your side of the deal, now I'll keep mine, but before I let you have this disgusting little boy back, I have to ask you a question," The guy replied, pushing Jake out into he open, but keeping himself in the shadows still.
"What do you want?" I asked. To say I wasn't surprised of how this was going, would be a lie. This was way easier then I had originally thought, and I'm guessing that Dad felt that way too, judging my the now confident look on his face.
"Do you know who killed Rose?" The man asked evilly. That question was all it took to make me as angry as a bull.
"No! What do you know about my mother?!" I screamed, ready to run at him,but Dad held me back, not letting me near him. Dad tried to bring me backwards but I stood my ground, so he walked back over to the door. It took all the forces in my body to stop me from raging at the man.
"Uh, uh.. Only I get to ask questions. I guess you will have to find out by someone else then," The man replied, before he walked briskly out the door before we even had time to blink.
