Chelsi POV
Sitting outside was one of the best things to do with my mother and brother. We would watch the sunset and talk about our day. My mother was always a joyful person. Sometimes I think maybe it was all dream because my mother didn't deserve this. Why her God? Why'd it have to be her? Maybe it was just her time to go. Maybe this was a lesson from God but who knows. My mother was a very spiritual person, every Sunday my brother and I would go to church with her. During the spring and sometimes fall I remember always wearing on of my pretty little pink and yellow dresses. She always said "Bright colors show your true beauty, it makes you stand out. No matter what any one tells you, bright colors make anyone's day brighten up." I never really knew what she meant until she died. I realized all she was trying to say is "As long as your happy, God will brighten up your day with as many colorful blessings as he can give you". Now that my mother is gone my world has simmered down and bright colors darken my day. God hasn't brought me any colorful blessings. I hope one day God can restore the light back into me so I can make my mama real proud.
