third person's pov.
as jayleen fell to the ground, her hand still resting upon project t.m.x's white material, the dog let out a evil laugh, almost human sounding.
what the voice of project t.m.x had said was true, and did happen. the girls, though not dead, were sent into a time vortex where they stayed for five whole months, not even aware that they were away from their lives. to them, it merely felt like a long nap. on jayleens end, the time machine was meant to kill her, the voice of project easily manipulating the lovestruck girl. though, the dog misjudged her. the amount of electricity coursing through the material was thought to kill the girl, but she survived. merely staying in an untreated coma for five months. when she woke, she was in the mindset of before she touched the machine, both too scared and too drained to touch the device. as soon as her hand was lifted, lisa, maria, and amisha shot out of the portal. despite her hatred, she was relieved to see the girls were okay; she couldn't live with knowing she may have killed three innocent girls.
amisha was the first one up, quickly helping up the other two after checking if they were breathing. then, with lisa and maria walking cautiously behind her, she went over to jayleen, who was tiredly sat on the floor, all color from her face washed away.
"i'm so s-sorry." jayleen whispered, clutching onto amisha's shoulder when she helped her up, "to all of you. i did this, i hurt all of you. i was greedy, jungkook helped me when i was most down, all of them, bts, did. and for that i am grateful, my gratitude just got way out of hand and i took that out on you. i just, i thought you were trying to take them away, take my only family away."
lisa looked at jayleen, she never forgot who jayleen was, nor did she forget about sumaia. none of them could forget their friends that they left behind before project t.m.x. but, it appeared the ones they left behind had forgotten about them as if they never met, as if they never existed. and that struck them. it struck lisa especially harshly, as jayleen was one of her most trusted friends before project t.m.x.
Maria was just wondering what had happened. She knew if they went through the portal no one would remember them, but there was a part of her hoping someone would. She knew not to get her hopes up because whenever she did someone would bring her down, that's what she did, got her hopes up.
amisha however stood there plainly. she knew what she was getting into when that 'travel' button was pressed. in the first few months of living in korea amisha had made sure all her friends were getting on fine, through google and even contacting them with anonymous usernames. despite her hostile relationship with a majority of her friends, she cared for them even if she herself was the one forgotten. though, being amisha, she's quite salty about it.
"wait, w-where's that dog?"
ThE eNd.
or is it. . . ?
dun dun dun, plot twist.
