The town of Hiroshima was elated with such great weather of the day. They felt it was all fine after a long time. Their faces cheered up and glowed as the sun. Children were happy licking ice-cream and chocolate bars. Ladies smiled while talking to their friends while walking. Few kids felt safe with their mothers. And it was "a normal day" after a very long time.

"Anne" cracked an old woman's voice, "Anne, please open the door!" the voice seemed panicked. It seemed as if she were about to cry. Accidentally she dashed the sofa corner. Though little, the pain ignited the sorrow penetrating deep in her heart and that came out in tears.

A while ago she had her granddaughter fighting with a dodger. She realised that it was nothing wrong to fight with a guy like that who was stealing things at such an young age. She could not possibly remember why she had reacted much to that simple thing. Regret was boiling inside her.

***************************

The men were now ready for the blast which would take place in a minute. The helicopter made loud sounds and passed through the small town. The public, though nothing new, watched the little object flying. "Mamma" a child said, "The helicopter" and the mother too looked at it. "What does it throw?" the lady said.

Anne seems to realise that she was not right in her place. It is obvious that her grandmother would scold her and she could not regain her mood by sitting like that, in a closed room. TuckTuck....Her grandmother knocked. "I must apologize to her" she thought.

It would take the bomb five seconds to blast.

ONE, she got down the bed...

TWO, she slowly walked towards the door...

THREE, the old lady started losing hope...

FOUR, she reached the door and clenched the door handle...

FIVE, "gran-" she didn't complete her words when the door knob was half unlocked and...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

No one to mourn. No one to be sad. For all were dead. Only in five seconds. Though they both had same feelings, she could not apologize.....
