Littlenight's Betrayal

Chapter 4

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own their own prey gather under the Gorsebush for a Clan meeting!"
Meadowstar's call rang through the camp.
Littlenight was bursting with pride as he watched Sunnytail and his three kits sitting at the front of the clan. He walked over to them and touched noses with his mate before sitting down next to her.  
"Moonkit, Leafkit, Brackenkit, come forward
"Moonkit, from this moment until you gain your warrior name, you shall be known as Moonpaw. Oatclaw, I know you will pass your knowledge on to Squirrelpaw" the new apprentice trotted up to her new mentor and touched noses with him.
"Leafkit, from this moment on you shall be known as Leafpaw. Brindlefur will be your mentor." Leafpaw's eyes lit up as his mentor was announced and he bounded over to her. He stretched up on his short legs to touch noses with her. Littlenight felt a warmth in his heart.
"Brackenkit, from this moment on, you will be known as Brackenpaw. I will be your mentor" Brackenpaw's eyes immediately filled with shock while pride erupted in Littlenight and Sunnytail.
Meadowstar flicked her long tail to signal the end of the meeting and Brackenpaw scampered over to her new mentor. She guided her over to where the other mentors and apprentices were waiting. They walked out of camp to show Leafpaw, Squirrelpaw and Bramblepaw the territory.
Littlenight looked at the sky. Sunhigh. He looked around the camp to see which cats could take a patrol out.
"Sneezefeather!" He called. The grey she-cat looked over and when she saw he had called walked over to him
"Can you take out a patrol along the RiverClan border up to the cascade please? Take at least 4 cats" Sneezefeather seemed alarmed at the amount of cats he had said to take out, but she said nothing. She called Smokefur, Brindleheart, Slightfoot and Sedgewhisker together and told them what they were doing. They padded out of camp and Littlenight looked around. Everything looked so normal, how could the storm be coming?
