Nyx, a little raven-bear hybrid was playing games on the warm, sandy beach with her centaur friend Layla. They were enjoying a game of tag when Tigris and Pigmea came over and asked to join in. The crocodile with a tiger head, Tigris, and the robin with a small wolf head, Pigmea, were (of course) allowed to play with Nyx and Layla. In the water sat Robin, an unusually small and lonely cat-mermaid. No one ever played with poor Robin, and even the four other animals rarely talked to her. The only 'friend' Robin had was herself, whom she hated. BANG! There was a random bang, and everyone looked around, worried. "What was th-" Nyx tried to say, but she was rudely interrupted. KAHBOOM! An explosion came out of literally nowhere! Layla was thrown into the air, and the strong force blew away Pigmea. Tigris was able to stand her ground because of her weight, and because she wasn't too close to the explosion in the first place. Nyx also managed to stay in the same place, but Robin's tail couldn't fight against the giant waves created by the explosion, and the small mer-cat was washed away. After the smoke has cleared away from the area, the animals saw a teenage boy that might've been 18 lying in a pile of rubble. He had black wings that were blood-stained in an unfamiliar pattern. The boy started coughing violently and chocking until he finally managed to say four words quietly: "I am Sorren Bloodworth." He then fell unconscious, still lying on a pile of rubble.
After recovering from the damage, the animals awkwardly stood there, deciding what to do in their heads. "Awk-ward," said Pigmea, breaking the silence. Being the bravest creature there, (despite her being a small bird-like animal), Pigmea was the first to confidently walk over and peer at the boy. She was a tiny bit nervous inside, but Pigmea didn't show it, for she just poked him. "Is he dead?" Asked Pigmea. Chatter arose among the five animals, until Layla took the unconscious boy's pulse and announced that the demon-like boy was just unconscious, not dead.
"Well, what are we doing with the corpse?" Asked Tigris. "He's still alive!" Nyx and Robin said together in unison. "Okay, what are we doing with the alive body, then?" Layla questioned. Everything was silent. "What about you don't do anything with me?" Said the boy quietly, as he attempted getting up from the ground.
