For some reason, I always seem to find some way of being late for class. I guess I lost track of time. I always have to choose, the most awkward time and place, to be late for something. Today it's school.

I walk into the crowded, noisy classroom. As soon as I'm inside the room, I notice a woman sitting on a old, dusty chair in the corner of the room. She seems to be glaring at, every single person in the room including me. The woman also seemed like she had the most aggravated look planted on his face, but quickly disappeared when I looked her in the eye. She must already know that I'm a new girl.

Sooner rather than later, I realise this woman will be my English teacher for the next year. She decides to stand up and introduce me to the class. Everyone's eyes suddenly, make an appearance towards mine. Well everyone except from one person, which I couldn't help cut notice.

Sitting there, I see a boy. 17 maybe 18. Just sitting there, looking out the window. As any ordinary boy would do. Nevertheless, there is something about him, that catches my eye. I'm just not quite sure what and why.
He is wearing a green, short sleeved shirt, with jeans that seem to put his whole outfit together. He hasn't done much with his hair, but it looks presentable. His eyes are definitely something to look at, they are brown with a hint of hazel.

I don't know what to do with myself, so I probably do the most awkward thing and stare at him. I truly thought things couldn't get any more awkward, until I notice his head start to tilt in my direction. His eyes meet with mine for a split second, when he looks at me there is something that shocks me. He looks at me with pure hatred. It was so fast I could've made it up, but I saw it for sure.
Shocked, I turn my attention back to the teacher. I just come to realisation, that she has been talking to me this entire time. I guess I was too occupied. It's almost like I could hear, but refused to listen. I decide to listen in to what miss is saying.

"Lauren... Would you please seat yourself next to Jack Gilinsky." The teacher screeched in my ear, beckoning my attention. She starts to point her finger, across the classroom towards who I'm guessing is Jack. Almost at a instant I realise who it is. The boy I was just staring at, just minutes ago.
There is something about the fact that, he didn't dare even glance at me when I sat on the desk, that got on my nerves. I decide to look past it.
Today our class is learning about Shakespeare. I am making a start by writing some notes for revision, I notice Jacob beside not writing a thing. Then he does the most unexpected thing, he raises his hand and speaks. What's even more surprising, is what he is talking about. He is stating his knowledge on Shakespeare and his plays. In the end what really blows me away, is the way he is saying it all. His voice is loud, but not intimidating. Deep but not demanding. And best of all it sounded great. Again I can't help but stare. At the way his jaw would tighten, when he would make a mistake. Or the way he licks his lips, when he is excited about what he is saying. It all just made sense.

Finally, the bell goes and we are dismissed. Before I know it, Jacob is out of plane sight. Strangely, I feel cold as soon as he leaves.

That lesson was definitely unexpected.
