The Jungle Girl

Weird

         I feel warm and fuzzy...where am I?  What is that warm feeling coming from....Why can"t I open my eyes they feel so heavy. I finally have the strength to open my eyes and at first it was so bright but I blinked few times and saw the ceiling of my tent. What happened...I thought I was in the jungle with Asher. I feel the that warm feeling again and notice it's coming from my hand. I looked down to see that Elecktra is holding my hand tightly. She's asleep and looks like she has been crying. I move slowly to sit up as to not wake up but fail as I feel a sharp pain near my lower back and at my head. Elecktra shoots up and looks at me worried. "Are you okay? How do you feel? Where does it hurt? Do you need anything like water?" she goes off with what seems to me like a million questions. I chuckled and try to sit up again but more cautiously. I sigh in relief as I successfully sit up right with little pain. "I'm fine just a bit lost." I said and Elecktra looks at me questioningly. "What happened? I could have sworn I was with Asher in the jungle having fun." I told her wondering exactly what had happened. She looked down at her hands now realizing that she is still holding my hand she blushes and let go. "You were with Asher in the jungle...I heard a scream so I came running in the direction worried about Asher...when I got there he was crying and holding on to you very tightly saying sorry over and over....I don't exactly know what happened because Asher doesn't want to talk to anyone anymore." she finished as her head hung low. I sighed and ruffled my hair and wiped my face a bit, I took a deep breath and patted her head. She seemed to stiffen. "Where is he?" I asked wanting to comfort Asher now and also to find out what exactly happened. She got up and left saying a quick "I'll get him.." I watched her leave out the door and laid my end back down as soon as I saw her leave. I try to remember what happened. All I could remember was me Asher climbing up a really tall tree. Asher was ahead of me going higher and higher. I was starting to get a it nervous as the branches got a bit skinnier the higher we went. I heard something snap and that's all I remember. I snapped out of my thoughts as soon as I heard the rustling of door being opened. I looked towards it to Asher with his head hung low in what seems to be shame and Elecktra trying to comfort him by rubbing his shoulders a bit. "Asher..." I called out saw him flinch at my voice. he looked up and we made eye contact as soon as we did he started to cry and ran towards me. I smiled a little and embraced him. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you fall...it should have been me I'm so sorry." He said crying into my chest. "Shh..don't say that...It's okay...I'm glad that it was me that got hurt and not you..I f you did get hurt I would been very sad and feel guilty." I told him trying to calm him down while running my fingers through his hair. "You would?" He asked looking straight into my eyes. I smiled nodded at him. he smiled a bit and snuggled closer to me. After a while He fell asleep. "Oh I forgot to ask him what happened......well doesn't matter now...how long was I out?" I asked looking down at Asher. "Uh...about a week and two days." She said my eyes widened and looked straight towards her. "That long wow must hit my head or something." I told her chuckling a bit towards the end. Elecktra slapped the back of my head hard and started to yell "This isn't a joking matter...Asher was heartbroken and scared he thought it was his fault and he wouldn't talk for a while week wouldn't want to eat much either no matter how many times I tried to comfort him.....Oliver was so worried he stated to pull his hair practically and me....I was so worried..I thought...I thought you were never go to wake up...." After that she started to cry. I frowned and set Asher down beside me. I got up and but my arms around Elecktra. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to worry you. I just thought that I should lighten the mood a bit." I said and hugged tighter. "I'm sorry." I said as I kissed the top of her head. She stopped shaking completely after that. "Your are very weird do you know that Alex?" She told me and I can tell from just the sound of her voice she was smiling. She hugged me back and went backwards and laid in the bed with her in my arms.
