I try to sit up but I can't. The thousand

wires and tubes keeping me alive

won't allow it. My vision is cloudy and

I have a massive headache. "What

happened?" I ask no one in particular.

A blonde haired nurse walks briskly

into the room. "Hi sweetie." she says

"how are you feeling today?" "Fine" I

mumble. "So today we're going to run

a few tests, okay?" she chirps. I nod.

From where I am, I can barely see the

name on her tag. Braylee. I feel the

needle enter my arm and wince in

pain. I wish I could remember.

What happened?

No.

My throat closes up

Tears fill my eyes

I can't breathe
