Osomatsu's Perspective

________________________________________

I stepped out of the house and into the crisp air of late autumn, closing the door behind me. It was quiet, and the click of the door as it shut gave a slight echo to the street. I looked around to see the same faces I usually see in public, the same people walking down the street, going about their business. Sighing and stuffing my hands into my pockets, I turned to my left and started making my way down to Totty's house. Well, his actual name is Todomatsu, but he's like a little brother, so we came up with the nickname.

I wonder if the others are there yet..? There are six of us in total; Myself, Totty, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Jyushimatsu.. and Ichimatsu. Choromatsu is usually early and the first to arrive, and I usually get there after him. Karamatsu and Ichimatsu arrive a few minutes after, and Jyushimatsu is a bit unpredictable. Most of the time, he arrives, beaming, mere moments after Karamatsu and Ichimatsu do, but there have been times that he was a bit late. Thinking of it now, he never did explain why. Well, we never asked. I've gotta ask him some time.

I look down the street and see Totty's house, recognizing the pink roses in front of the windows. I smile, looking forward to seeing them. Totty has a nice family, a humorous father and sweet mother. As I got closer, I noticed that the lights in his house were on. Peering into the window, I see Choromatsu and Ichimatsu sitting in the living room chatting. "Oi, Osomatsu!" A voice directly in front of me startled me. "Buraza!"  I chuckle and shake my head. We considered each other brothers. I had nearly bumped into the ever-painful Shittymatsu, whose name was actually Karamatsu. He was just barely younger than me, making him the second eldest of the group, as I was the eldest. "Shittymatsu." He sighed with a smile at the remark, and I opened the door. The three heads inside turned when we stepped inside, Totty giving a small wave, Choromatsu awkwardly smiling. Ichimatsu looked up. For a moment, I thought he was about to smile, but what would've been a smile disappeared when he realized it was only us. He simply grunted, looking away.

I sighed quietly as we walked into the house. He was probably hoping it was Jyushimatsu, since he's the only one who seems to be able to cheer him up in the slightest. Those two were polar opposites, I swear. Ichimatsu was eerily quiet, introverted, and a heavy pessimist, whereas Jyushimatsu was loud(obnoxious at times), extroverted, and always looking on the bright side of things. Hell, they even wear inverted colors, Ichimatsu wearing purple and Jyushimatsu wearing yellow.

As we sat down at their table, we nodded and shook hands with each other as we usually would. "So, what'd we miss?" I asked, glancing at the clock to confirm that I was roughly eight minutes late; 10:35am(I usually arrive at around 10:27 or so). After all, I had shown up with Karamatsu. Which, thinking of his arrival, wasn't Ichimatsu rather early? "Not much, we were just talking about what we should do for Halloween. And-" Choromatsu shrugged and was cut off by Todomatsu, who grinned. "We were thinking of having an all-night Halloween party, the six of us and maybe a few friends! We could dress up as whatever we were for Halloween, and have tons of dancing and food!" His eyes seemed to sparkle a bit, though this gave me the sinking feeling he had his own intentions behind this. Ichimatsu sighed, not to my surprise. He hated parties, claiming that they were 'too chaotic and crowded'. With a chuckle, I said, "Aren't we getting a bit old for this, though?" Todomatsu seemed prepared for me to say this as he smirked. "We could invite some hot-" "The Halloween party sounds like a good idea." I burst out. We all remained silent for a moment and I was stared at. Ichimatsu shook his head and snickered quietly, and the rest of us doubled over, bursting out with laughter. Karamatsu even fell onto his side, his hips bumping into the table a bit. Who were we kidding, after all? The only girl I could think of that might show up would be Totoko-Chan, and she might cause chaos if she realized she was the only girl there apart from someone's mom. After having a good laugh, we all sighed in unison, just as Jyushimatsu opened the door.
