A/N:
Extremely late, I know. But to make up for it, it's long as hell, to the point that I had to make it into a special chapter with two parts. This first half alone is 9.9k, so you should get the picture..
Things you'll need to know for this chapter:
A boutonniere is the flower that adorns a suit as a decoration of sorts, usually on the chest through a buttonhole.
'Kanpai' means 'cheers'
'Nth' is just a way of saying an unspecified number of times. If you don't understand what I mean by that, then take 4th for example. 4th is a way of saying a specified number of times; four. If you still don't understand, just look it up.
Holy shit I hate my phone now. I know I tapped 'Publish' but I just checked, aaaand nope. So this was supposed to be published on Sunday. Ughhhh. Sorry about that.
Oh, and a bit of backstory.
Trigger warning for self-starvation/self-induced vomiting.
Anyways, enjoy. Part two is better, and on it's way.
Todomatsu's Perspective
Ever since spending the rest of that day with Karamatsu, I haven't had any more nightmares. I was actually having dreams about him instead! And I had to admit, I wish they were real. Most of the dreams were about us sitting somewhere on a sunny day, a rainbow usually cast in sky.
Tonight, we were in a field of various pink and blue flowers. I smiled at him as we sat there, secretly crafting a flower crown while he looked into the distance and hummed. Satisfied with the crown of blue daffodils and orchids, I sat up and leaned over, gently letting them fall onto his head, grateful for the momentary lack of wind. He blushed and closed his eyes as smiled at me, which I returned.
"Todomatsu" he opened his eyes as his image and voice faded.
I wake up smiling. Stretching as my eyes flutter open, I let out a small yawn and take a glance around my room as the sleepiness gradually wears off. Uh-oh, looks like I left my closet open last night.
Why is there a..?
I glance above my desk at my pink calendar, filled with red Xs, and pause, continuing my gaze to the corner of my room, where a few bags of snacks, drinks, and microphones are lying. Immediately filled with energy and excitement, I jump out of bed and run over to the calendar just to be sure.
Yes! Today is the day! October 31st!
I admit I'm being rather giddy and childish, but I've been looking forward to this! What time is it now..? 11:09, nice! That gives me plenty of rest to stay up all night tonight no problem! And that also means I have two hours until they show up! Perfect!
Ok, I'm seriously turning into Jyushimatsu.
Getting dressed, I stumbled down the stairs as my blood rushed to my head. Finding my mother setting up decorations in the living room, I smiled and hugged her, picking up some streamers and hanging them up. My father called for her from somewhere in the house, and she asked me to continue and that she would be right back. I finished putting up streamers, and decided to move on to the kitchen. I got out several bowls and pushed the kitchen table up against the wall, setting the bowls out. As for the chairs, I set them up on the opposite side of the counter, similarly to seating like that of a bar. With some of the shorter, leftover streamers, I decorated the backs of the chairs as well, and ran up to my room to grab the snacks and drinks.
