Chapter 4 - A Choice

|Aphmau's POV|

It was nightfall. I had a fun day meeting Garroth and hanging out with my good friends. "Laurence, I feel something bad is going to happen." I said worriedly. Laurence went over to bed and replied "What do you mean? Look, we're in college now. Nothing can go wrong...I think." He said caressing my cheek. I gave him a sweet smile and said "Thanks Laurence...I really needed that." Then I laid down on the bed. And fell fast asleep. I still think that something will go wrong. And I thought just right.

|Laurence's POV|

As Aphmau drifted to sleep I walked back to my bed. I turned off the light and went to sleep. The next morning I went to wake up Aphmau. She wasn't in her bed. I checked the bathroom. She wasn't there either. 'Where could she be?' I thought with a worried look. Soon enough I was walking down the hallway passing dorms. When I got near Garroth's dorm (he doesnt have a roommate. Lol, loner 4 life) I heard a muffled screaming. There was one name that popped in my head, Aphmau. I twisted the handle and surprisingly it was open. There I was shocked at what I saw. It was Aphmau tied to a chair with ducktape covering her screams and Garroth pointing a gun to her head. "Garroth! Let go of Aphmau now!" I yelled angrily. I clenched my fists. How could my best friend do this to my love?! "I want to have a chat with you Laurence. And if I get caught I'm going to come for you so hush up!" He said with an evil grin. "Laurence! Help jdhfvjek!" I heard Aphmau say through the duck tape. "Please Garroth, don't hurt Aphmau. What did I do to make you so upset?!" I said waiting for and answer.

"Because Laurence...I like Aphmau. And seeing you with her made me jealous. And if I can't have her...no one can!" He said evilly. "No, please! I'll do anything. Just don't hurt Aphmau!" I said reaching out my hand. "Let's make a deal shall we? If you talk to her and interact with her, I'll kill her. If you refuse the deal I'll splash a forget potion on her. So she wont remember you." He said with a laugh. It was the hardest decision of my life. To ignore my love, or make her forget everything we did. Not to mention her family which is more important then me. "One more thing, I have to knock out Aphmau before you say your answer. I don't want her to blab anything now do we?" He said hitting the gun on her head. My eyes got watery. I saw the love of my life knocked out with her tear stained cheeks. "I-I'll stay away f-from Aphmau." I said with a sigh. I regretted every word I said. After that Aphamu woke up. "Let her go." I said. "Here." And with that he untied the ropes and said "I'm sorry Aphmau. I don't know what came over me." He said sweetly.

|Aphmau's POV|

Garroth untied me. My cheeks were wet with tears. "I'm sorry Aphmau. I didn't know what came over me." He said sweetly. "NEVER TALK TO ME AGAIN YOU MANIAC!" I yelled. I ran over to Laurence and hugged him. He didn't hug back, weird. "Aphmau please get off me." He said plainly. I let go confused. "What? Laurence I almost got killed my Garroth! I need comfort and you're neglecting me?!" I said tears forming in my eyes once more. Laurence didn't reply. Instead his eyes got watery and left the dorm. He left me. All alone, with Garroth. I chased after him. "Laurence wait!" I called out to him. He just kept walking back to our dorm.

"Laurence please! Don't ignore me! What happened to you?" I asked and stopped in my tracks. I felt a tear roll down my hot cheek. Tears stained once again. "Laurence why?" I whispered. I heard footsteps near me. I looked up and saw Laurence. "I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you from Garroth. I'm sorry that your life was risked. I'm also sorry that, that I'm in your life." He said frowning and walking away. "Laurence! Your not a burden. You never were. What you are to me is more than you could ever imagine. I want you in my life, I need you, I, I LOVE YOU!" I yelled the last part. He turned around a a tear rolled down his cheek. He walked over to me and he hugged me. "I'm sorry." He whispered in my ear. "Hey! What did I say about the deal?!" And I turned around and saw Garroth with a knife in his hand. I hid behind Laurence. 'I'm such a coward!' I thought annoyed at myself. "Laurence!" He yelled angrily. "I couldn't take it anymore Garroth! Face it, she loves me. She said that she needed me, she wanted me." He said clutching his fists once more. "You asked for this!" He said and he came running full speed at Laurence with his knife. "No!" I said and ran in front of Laurence and Garroth stabbed me.

The pain was unbearable. I fell to the floor screaming out of pain. Garroth gasped. "Aphmau! I'm- Laurence punched him and knocked him out. The he bent down and carried me up. "Aphmau! Why'd you do that?! I'd rather die then you!" He said tears streaming down his cheek. All of a sudden Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan, and Cadenza came. "Laurence what happened?!" Katelyn asked tears forming in her eyes. The same with Kawaii~Chan and Cadenza's. "Garroth stabbed her. Go get help and call the police!" I said quickly. They ran off except Cadenza. "I'm so sorry this happened to both of you." She said putting a hand on Laurence's shoulder. "L-Laurence I need t-to tell you s-something." I said weakly. "What is it Aphmau?!" He said worriedly. And with all my strength I pulled him into a kiss. Him warm lips pressed against mine very gently. And with that I went unconscious...forever.
