As the final bell rang for the day, I hurriedly went to my locker after collecting my books and notebooks and putting them into my bag, books in hand.
Reaching my locker I quickly unlock it. Habang nilalagay
ang mga libro na hindi ko gagamitin para sa homework na gagawin ko ngayong gabi, may naririnig akong nag bubulongan.
Nag bubulongan ba talaga sila?
I thought dryly.
"Yeah! I heard that too. Akala ko nga rumors lang e, it's the real deal na pala."
Rumors? Real deal?
"O my, as much as I want him for myself, 'bat kaya sila nag hiwalay 'no? I thought they're gonna be together like until college you know?"
I wonder kung sino 'yung ibig-sabihin nila?
"I thought so too. It's sad really. Sila pa naman sana'ng iboboto ko as the Prom Couple Of Year 2016."
"What do you think is the reason? One of them cheated? May third-party? Or wasn't working out anymore gaya nina Adam and Taylor?"
"Gaaash! This year is like, the break-up year! Ang daming nag be-break. Even Demi and, who's that guy again? Anyway, I hope di kami kasali sa maghihiwalay ni bae."
Grabe. Updated lang kung updated e. Wala naman akong paki sa mga nangyayari sa celebrity world pero still, Taylor and Adam? Nag break? What the-?!
There goes my hope for a forever...
Pero, sino nga kaya 'yung nag break? Is it Erika and Joe? Those two were like the most popular couple in this school. Almost everyone knows them by their overload, minsan o.a. na masyadong, sweetness. But they look good together. Maybe that's why ganun nalang kung makapag-chismisan 'tong mga 'to.
Or Kris and Billy? Those two were unbreakable. Sila 'yung tipong sa kasalan na'ng dating.
Jenny and Tom? Nah, I don't think so.
Or is it--- na-ah! Not even going there.
I scowled at myself at that thought.
"Whatever, tara na nga. I feel like shopping today."
I watched them walked away, leaving me with my baffled thought.
Sinubukan ko nalang baliwalain 'yung mga nalaman ko't tumungo na para umuwi.

"Ma, I'm here!" I yelled as I took my shoes off.
"Just in time for dinner dear! Hurry and go change, habang mainit pa'ng mga foods." Narinig kong sigaw ni mama galing sa dining room.
I went straight to my room. Taking my time changing into comfortable clothes.
Palabas na sana ako nang nag ring 'yung phone ko. A call.
"Yaaa?" I asked, answering the phone.
"Just wanna ask if you're free tomorrow. I would like to spend some time with you, 'cause you know? We haven't talked for like ages! But if you're not free, I'll still drag you though. I don't really care if you have plans or not."
My friend said. I barely understood what she said 'cause she was talking fast!
"Yeah, of course. 'Cause I've freakin' missed you too, considering the fact that we just talked like about, I dunno... an hour ago?! Yup, so darn long."
I sighed at her exaggerated self.
Ano na naman kayang plano nitong babaeng 'to?
"I'm ignoring your sarcasm Riley! So yeah, I'mma gonna pick you up at 9."
"Okay okay, see you! Bye."
I hung up and went downstairs. God, I'm so hungry.
Naabutan kong nagpe-prepare si mama habang kausap si papa na naka upo na sa hapag kainan. I look for my younger brother but he was not in the kitchen or in the living room. He wasn't in his room, 'cause I saw the door of his room across from mine was open.
Now where's that dork?
"Pa, kadarating mo lang?" Tanong ko habang na-upo.
"Yeah. Na-trafic e. Alam mo naman." he said, looking at me while shrugging. "So, how's school?" He added.
Na-upo na rin si mama, across from me, papa at the center and an empty chair across from where he's sitting.
"The usual. Boring teachers and typical teenagers. Nothing new." I shrugged and started putting food on my plate.
"No boys?" Mama asked habang inaabot kay papa ang kanin. "Thank you." Sabi ni papa sa kanya.
"Naa." Tipid kong salita. I filled my mouth with food para di na sila mag tanong about that topic.
Thankfully they proceeded to talk about something else.
Nakikisali lang ako minsan sa usapan nila 'pag involve ako, habang patuloy lang kaming lumalamon.
But my thoughts made a sudden U-turn.
Who broke-up?
