Chapter 1: Conor

Chapter 1:

     I wake up to the loud sound to the right of me, it's my alarm. I grunt and proceed to hitting in with my fist hoping the terrible noise will end. Once it finally shut up I rolled off my bed and onto the floor tangled in blankets. I found my way out of the blanket cacoon and slump down the stairs half asleep. I smell coffee all made and poured into my favorite mug.  If I don't get caffeine in my body it's not pretty. I sip my coffee while I slice up some berries and slide them into a bowl. I add 2 cups of vanilla yogurt and a sprinkle of granola on top.

I make my way back up stairs, still siping coffee as I drag myself up each step. I go into my room, open my laptop and play some music as I eat mm y breakfast and pick out what to wear. I pull out a skater skirt with a crop tank top and a long sweater cardigan. I lay my outfit out on my bed and get dressed.

     Normally I don't try to look all fancy but this year I told my self I was going to make an effort and my friends jumped on the idea of a complete makeover, since they love shopping.

After I'm done getting dressed and eating I make my way to the bathroom. I wash my face, brush my teeth and wave my hair, because I'm to lazy to curl it completely. I put on some mascara, powder, and pink lip gloss, I head back to my room put on my shoes, shut my laptop, grab my bag and phone. I walking downstairs quietly, so I don't disturb my little sister, Ellie, who was probably sound asleep.

As I was leaving my mom snuck in a quick hug, as pieces of her long blonde, naturally wavy hair got in my mouth. Um ew.

"I love you have a great first day Jane"! She says as she kissed my cheek and hands me my car keys, her blue-green eyes shining into my green ones. I gave her a big hug and headed to my car.

My mom was great and I love her so much! Most of the time she was at work so it was nice she was there this morning. Her and my sister, Ellie, are my world. My dads not really in the picture anymore. My little sister Ellie has short brown hair with green-gray eyes. Ellie is in kindergarten since kindergarten is only half day she is sleeping right now because she has P.M. kindergarten. My mom has to jobs she's a waiter at a diner down the street and the manager at the coffee shop down town.

When I arrive at school I meet up with my best-friends Sarah and Maggie.

"Jane! Over here"! Sarah yells at me as she waves her arm.

Sarah has dirty blonde hair hazel eyes. She is wearing high waisted shorts with a cropped sweater paired with 3inch pumps and a statement necklace.

"Hey guys so how was summer"? I ask while checking out the hot guy that just got out of a red mustang.

Damn! I thought in my head

He has blue eyes and brown hair. Tall and a gorgeous body.

"Um... Jane? Are you even listening" Maggie asks me while poking the hell out of my arm.

"Huh.. what" I say in a jumble while still drooling over mr. hottie.

"Oh I see you found a cute boy already". Maggie laughs as she looks at him.

Maggie is in skinny jeans with a t-shirt thats says "haters" in the center. Her red hair in a top knot and she pulled her whole outfit together with a pair of gladiator saddles. For make up she put on a coat of mascara that really gave attention to her big brown eyes.

"He's gorgeous"! Sarah says as drool drips from all our mouths.

"Oh crap I think he's coming over here act natural"! I tell Sarah and Maggie as they continue to stare and drool.

"Hey". I hear a deep voice behind me say.

I whip around and were so close his nose touched mine, I can feel his breath on my lips. He pulls my waist closer.

"I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out after school maybe show me around? Since I'm new here and all I would love a good tour".

He whispers to me, still holding me close, but lets go slightly so I can speak.

As I look at him he stares into my eyes as if he is putting me under some spell and I push out some words

"Yeah, I'd l-love to sh-show you a-around after school".

"Great"! he pulls me back in and whispers to me

"I'm looking forward to it". He lets go and walks away.

What just happened?....

I'm not a very confident person and I honestly thought everyone excerpt my two best friends though I was invisible. So what just happened shocked me!

I don't really care about what people think of me I don't try to standout I love my family and respect them. I'm not a person that goes around sleeping with everyone. I actually have only had one past relationship his name is Peter but it ended because he moved to Florida and I live in California, it just couldn't work out.

The first bell rang and we all went to our lockers and I took off to my first class. Which is math... uggg.

I walk in, take my seat, and the bell rings. I look to my right and the guy from this morning took a seat next to me. He smirked at me as the teacher stood up and passed out some worksheet.

"The sheet I'm passing out is to be done in pairs of 2 it must be completed by the end of class." The teacher tells us.

"Go ahead and find a partner once you have your paper" The teacher tells us.

"Hey, want to work together"? The cute boy asks me.

"Sure" I tell him with a little smile.

"My names Connor, Connor Brown." He says as he waits for me to tell him my name.

"My name's Jane, Jane Smith" I say mocking his tone.
