Why can't I ever be that lucky?

I quickly, ran to my dresser and grabbed some of my seldom used perfume, spraying it around the room hoping to help confuse whoever was following me. Unfortunately, I was about as lucky as Darth Vader and this wolf didn't seem to mind breaking and entering. I heard the cracking of bones, the sound of a wolf changing, from my hiding place in my closet. The sound was quickly followed by the crash of breaking glass as my persuer ignored the fact that it was locked and jumped into my room. I heard him smelling around trying to find my scent and knew by the grunt that he made that his nose would soon be going numb from the strong perfume I sprayed.

But then I remembered that he could probably hear my heart beat. Praying that he wouldn't think of the same thing I held my breath and consulted my wolf.

Okay so should I just hope that he is just a pup who doesn't know how to use his senses or hould I come out now? The decision is taken out of my hands as he breaks down the door to my closet bafore she can reply. I groan thinking about how I will explain all of this to my landlord and pay for the damaged.

"You are so paying for that door," I growl as I step out of my hiding spot. He smirked as I crossed my arms and cocked my hip. Faking a bravado I didn't feel I took him in. He looked to be about 6'4 and well built, which isn't unusual for wolves. He also had inky curls and bright green eyes that were way too piercing for my comfort. However what was unusual was how seeing him naked was making me blush.

See I was a werewolf and werewolves shift naked. We can't shift in our clothes because, well, who wants to have to buy a new wordrobe every other week? Only Alphas have enough magic to shift with their clothes on and not be naked when they shift back. The fact that the man in front of me was naked meant that he wasn't the local Alpha.

"Are you done checking me out?" I heard a deep voice question. I arched an eyebrow at the sound of his voice to busy registering all the different notes, picking them out the way you may pick out the flavors in good food as you savor it, to answer his question.

I watched as his eyebrows met in a deep v between his eyes as irritation sparked in his eyes at my lack of an anwer. I sighed in annoyance, my fear having drained out of my body at the sound of his voice. I don't know why I was feeling safer, he was pretty angry. Deciding not to over analyze I look into his eyes.

"What do you want?" I asked, annoyed. His eyebrows raised in shock at my tone.

"What happened to you running and hiding from me?" He says in that deep voice.

"Well we all have fears, but then we build bridges and get over them." I snapped back, because his attitude was grating on my nerves. His eyes immediately go from light sunny forest green, back to dark forest during a hurricane green.

"You are on my pack's land, why have you not asked for permission from my Alpha to live here?' I blinked in shock, my light brown eyes going wide with schock.

"Fuck", I cursed under my breath, I didn't know this was some freakin stuck up Alpha's so called pack land! "Fine whatever," I sighed," I will be out by the end of the night." After all, I thought to myself, I only have about a suitcase of important things to carry.

I walked around him, dismissing his presence as I planned what to pack. I have about $3,000 in cash somewhere around here. I start running around my room pausing only to throw on some clothes. I yank a suitcase out from under the bed my movements jerky from annoyance, I mean I had just moved in about a month ago. My mind was running a mile a minute as I threw some clothes into my suitcase. I turned back to my dresser to grab my money and went to throw it into my bag and froze. My clothes had been taken out of my suitcase. And an angry looking hunk was standing next to a pile of my clothes on the floor.

"I am not letting a rouge run around unaccounted for," he growled at me. I raised my eyebrows.

"And just how are you going to stop me?" I asked, knowing full well what he was going to say.

"I will lock you up in the pack dungeons", he said gruffly smirking.

"You can try," I smirked back knowing that with my training I could take pretty much any wolf down. He made the first move, lunging towards me remarkably slowly for a wolf. I just observed for a second before dodging his attack. Not feeling like playing with him, I quickly straddle him after he fell to the ground. He tried to buck me off but I quickly pressed the main pressure points in his neck, stopping all movement and rendering him paralyzed.

I got off of him quickly, finishing throwing together my suitcase and leaving. I knew that I wouldn't be followed until he was unparalyzed as I also pressed the ones that repressed his wolf given abilities, including the pack link. I sigh before shifting into my wolf. I had had high hopes for this town.

Don't worry, my wolf tries to comfort me, We will find a good home soon. She knew how tired I was of all the moving.

I certainly hope so, I sighed. Time to look for another home.
