Wings of the heart

I watch the rain, fall

Slow and constantly strong

Makes me think that,

I'm seen like a porcelain doll,

They control me,

They try to tell me

What is right or wrong?

But they don't realise

That I already know...

But you came down my way,

Distracted their draconian gaze,

Let me see the light of day

Though the price to pay was pain

I got to see the blooming month of May.

Then I felt freedom with no restraint

So unlike the porcelain white and red face,

White wings on my back took off the geisha paint

I managed to break the belt that tied me to their fate

I was able to fly away.

You came like a fairy tale dream on a summer night

I felt loved, cherished, admired, so my heart shined bright

I unknowingly gave you my heart,

In exchange for the ability to fly

Ye gave me wings yet you took them back

For it was my wings where I hid my heart.

You were the dream once upon a time

You woke the dreams, the wings in my heart

Yet you went and left, took away my heart

A broken heart has no turning back.
