Dedicated to cutiepie468, thanks for inspiring me to write !!!
She sat on the roof top with her starfish coffee mug in her hand.
The sky had the perfect sunset orange which her beloved Peeta Mellark adored,
The view was calm and serene almost as if J.K Rowling's Hogwarts had unraveled in front of her very own eyes.
Green lush Mountains spanned the landscape, clouds of various shapes were bobbing through the sky. As far as she could see the massive expanse of the great lake radiated a soothing essence, playfully mirroring the reflection of the clouds as if mocking them, daring them to move faster.
As the evening approached the nightingale started singing her sweet melody.
She felt as if she was in her own wonderland !!
It wasn't until he called her,
she knew something was about to change she could feel it.
She felt as if it was too dark on the terrace, too cold, the coffee had turned a muddy brown mush instead of the warm cuppa she had intended to enjoy.
Once again the conversations moved towards judgmental opinions.
And suddenly the atmosphere of the evening changed,
This is not something she had expected while she was enjoying her perfect evening.
She wanted to hang up but this time it stretched too far, this time instead of letting go, she held her ground and braved the sharp cutting edge of her voice without flinching because in that moment she thought maybe she didn't care if he walked away or stayed, all she wanted was to speak her mind.
All she wanted for once was to make it clear that if her perspective is not heard, she will walk away no matter what the cost.
The conversation ended and so did the Nightingale's song ...
But unlike the nightingale's song the conversation was unsweetened.
As she was laughing at her own stupidity of desolating the scenic views to hold a conversation with him. It then dawned on to her that he is not the traitor who ruined her evening, but her heart is, because her heart nudged her to pick up the call.
At the end she realized why life sometimes became a series of funny complications it was because the heart wants what it wants, no mater what the cost.
She sat there until the stars came out, promising to herself that she would let go of him.
Starring at the starry sky she realized life is a series of learnings, each day a new lesson.
She finally understood what John Green meant when he said "we are only as indestructible as we believe ourselves to be"
--The End--
Hope you enjoyed it folks :)
