"Axel?" i asked

"hmm" he responded with no effort while he plays with my hair.

"What am i going to do for the summer with you gone... i don't think i can cope" i said suddenly upset

"Don't think about that yet Athena. I'm not leaving until next week... Plus i'm only going temporarily until we both go to college together" Axel said reassuringly 

"But i have no other friends in this dismal town" 

"You will find one ok?" Axel promised which then shushed me up as we watched the rest of our favourite movie The Addams Family.

That moment was now 3 weeks ago and i missed Axel so much.

Since he has been gone, i've been working at my Aunt's florist and i am more content than ever as i love the thought of flowers and how happy some are when they come to collect.

The shop is extremely lively with many flowers. We have some Lilies to Iris'. Daisies to Roses and my personal favourite Sunflowers.

Today i am working extra hard and alone as my aunt went to pick Bella up from her friend's house. The bell at the front door chimed as it opened and i made my way towards the till waiting for the customer but i was surprised at who i saw. Mysterious Boy.

He roamed the rows of flowers looking for specific ones and i thought i should at least try and help so i approached his tall figure and asked;

"Would you like some help? i asked politely

He answered (rather rudely may i add) "No"

"Geez i just tried to help, looks like kindness these days aren't appreciated" i said

He turned around and his yellow specked blue eyes met my boring brown ones. I swear i saw his eyes soften the slightest.

"Look i'm sorry, i'm not always this rude ok? just not the right time" he said gruffly 

i nodded then tried to walk back to the counter however he grabbed my arm which made me turn around and meet his eyes once again.

"yes?" i asked with a gulp

"What's your name" he asked with pure interest 

"Why should it matter?" i said stubbornly 

he grunted and shook his head while having a world- renowned smile on his face.

"Stubborn huh? Well i am Noah, Noah Smith. Hey listen, what's your favourite flower?" 

"Sunflowers" i answered almost immediately

"Interesting" he said while grabbing 6 white roses from the shelf.

I took this as my cue to go back to the till.

He placed the roses on the desk and i typed in the flower type.

"That will be $34 please" i demanded

He took out a $100 bill and told me to keep the change which made me stare at the money on my palm with my mouth ajar.

He walked out of the shop not before bidding me a goodbye by saying "See Ya Later Sunflower" i smirk at this and shook my head.
