Makarov enlargened his hand and blocked Shine's only way of escape. He made a crossed face not even realising Temmie was sitting next to him, enjoying the show as she clicked her paws. Shine however, was not pleased with how things were going out. She knew Makarov will force her to reveal sometime or other, but she does not have the guts to do so. I don't blame her, it's not her fault. Afterall, it's me who had forced Shine to kill his brother. "Stay."
"Tsk." Shine clicked her tongue and pulled down her hoodie. She was determined to not give the guild too much information regarding anything. And one of the things Shine does well is being determined. She narrowed her eyes and set them on the guild members, examining them one by one when she has the time.
There's Gray, still rocking the naked style.
There's Cana! Wait, is she an alcoholic how? Isn't that what my dream interpreted? W-Wait, that's doesn't mean anything, right?
Hey, isn't that the powerful redhead? Her name was Erza or something, right?
And there's my classic romantic-- Mira fucking Jane. She has changed so much!
Is that Pinky besides Gray? Wait, is he wearing what I think he's wearing? Is he wearing the same thing he wore on our little date? Did he do that on my suggestion? Did he actually care? But on the bright side, if he did, he would've rescued me. That asshole.
These are nothing but pawns for me to survive and live my dream.
Only pawns.
While Shine was on her little dreamland, what she didn't realise was that her face was changing emotions. It was smiling one minute, and filled with disgust the other. Temmie was worried about her, she has never seen Shine like this. She has always seen Shine being either strong or really weak. Actually, these emotions were brought to her only when she joined Fairytail. Temmie was happy, but she was also conflicted with herself. Has Shine finally found what she was looking for? Will she abandon Temmie now?
"Master" The rehead's voice was palpable. Shine flung her head to her right, looking at the redhead with eyes filled with nothing. Or that's what she wanted them to think. "Care to explain?" Shine didn't care to look back at the old man. All she did was go to a nearby pillar and lean onto it. She messed this up, she'll solve it herself.
"Why do you want to know?" She signalled Makarov to remain quiet by raising a palm. He did not understand what Shine was doing. He knows for a fact that Shine is not as emotionally strong as she looks. He knows Shine will screw up. But that's what he wants, doesn't he? "Care to not break the privacy barrier?"
Just then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Natsu walking towards them. "Ahh so you can laugh with someone from Edolas-" Shine was eager to learn what the pinkette had to say, she raised an eyebrow at him and smirked. Luckily, no one noticed due to the hoodie. "But you speak of privacy now?" He started walking in Shine's direction. Makarov's hand was pulled back at this point. "This is a damn guild. And that too, not any. We're Fairytail and we don't leave anyone behind."
"I need more context."
The redhead stepped in forward to stop the dragon slayer from doing anything stupid, however, she was ignored by the angered mage. "Look, I still forgive you after everything you're doing" He stopped in his tracks and exhaled. His eyes were fixed on the ground and hands fisted, "Let us help." He looked up at the cold girl and smiled.
Shine was confused at this point. She thought the mage was looking for a fight and she was prepared for that. She did not, in any way, expect him to offer any help. "Help, huh?" She shifted her eyes to the master and held her head high, slightly exposing her smirk. The redhead was disgusted by how Shine was treating the guild, if she wanted to, she could start a fight. But unlike other members, she's mature. "You speak about help?" She looked left at Cana, who was sitting at the bar with her bottle hanging out of her hand. The brunette was curious as to what was happening, she was curious to a point where she had stopped her drinking. Shine blinked at Cana once and then eyed her bottle sharply. "Care to look back at your past, Pinky?"
"Shine, we all need an explanation now." Oh, so Gray jumps now? Great, what's next? Zeref comes in with Mavis and starts teaching Shine about how she isn't using her magic right? Like they always fucking do? Or does the council comes in and announces that Shine has been sentenced to death? Shine clicked her tongue and didn't even care to look at Gray. She did for curiosity's sake, wanted to see the pinkette's reaction.
What she saw his face, it was sad. What's the word for that expression? I don't know much about feelings but I reckon Shine was heartbroken when she saw him. He was on his knees with tears slightly threatening to flow out.
He had done everything he could to forget her. And suddenly, someone comes in and reminds him all about that one person everyone in the guild loved. That someone is a dick who treats everyone else like shit. And oh, when that person reminded him of her, he had never loved his nickname as he did that moment. He could listen to that name for hours, heck even days!
"A-Amara?"
Many jaws dropped, bottles were heard crashing. No one in the guild had thought of this. Temmie was frozen, Makarov had a surprised expression on his face. The She-Devil had taken a step back with her pupils widened. Amara's pupils had dilated. Her appearance changed back to her old self. Her clothing changed to white and blue, her hair grew to her hips.
But out of everything, one person had the guts to do something no one else would be willing to do. Erza had ran upto Amara and slapped her as hard as she could when the girl was in surprise.
"W-Why'd you leave?" Cana's voice was audible to Amara even though she was in surprise. Temmie had gone upto her and stood beside her, keeping a sharp eye on the redhead who looked like she could kill Amara. "A-Amara?" Cana's voice got louder as she kept getting closer, "Please answer my q-question..."
Amara could feel a hand trying to make a way to her shoulder. Just before it could touch her, Amara fled from the guild. Leaving Temmie behind, she left for a calm place where she can think about things.
She wanted a break.
She needed a break. Why don't people understand she's human afterall?
