~ Petrifying ~

Erza was a woman of easy mystery. Whenever she saw a chance, she snatched it  and gave Amara something irregular. She knew what she was doing, but Amara knew better.

Just earlier this day Erza offered the delinquent a piece of chocolate. She never does this. She's always cold towards the dragon slayer. And as expected, Amara firmly refused. Well, guess what? Later when Erza had gone to the restrooms, Amara did a little research. Those pieces of chocolates smelled like Jolkin pills.

Jolkin pills were pills made up of jolkin, a magical item that reduces a wizard's magical abilities and is performed by healing powers.

Bottomline, nobody is her friend there. Or so she assumed. A little later, she overheard Lucy and Erza talking about how tired Amara looks and that the black wizard should immediately sleep. So it turns out  they were indirectly trying to help her. Weird people.

Anyway, so as of now, the group headed towards the main village where they are supposed to work.

Ahh, so you're still alive~

What the fuck.
I swear I just heard his voice, that man's voice. Meaning Amara heard it too. Amara's expression was broken. She had never shown so much emotion in her stay at Fairytail. She looked cold and... Scared? Luckily, her face was half hidden by her hood.

Only to be noted by the pinkette.

When nobody else paid any attention, Natsu did get a slight instinctive feeling that something was wrong. Not wasting a moment to leisure, he immediately turned his head and sneakily looked over at Amara. Her face was half hidden. Although, he could decipher the fact that she had seen something horrible. Her jaw was hanging loose giving her bottom lip enough space to hang low. Her mouth was open and her skin looked cold. Suddenly, she stopped and that caused Natsu to stop. "What's wrong?" he said.

Amara looked up at the sky and lifted her hoodie, she looked around and froze. There were cold blue magical particles flying around which were visible only for a second. They melted to the ground and so did Amara's eyes. She looked pale. Her eyes were dilated and her hands were clenched tightly. But the main detail that everyone highlighted were her eyes. They had fear written all over them. Her once dull eyes were now radiating with colour. She was on the verge of crying. What was happening?

She immediately fell down on her knees and started searching for Temmie. The dog had sensed what was happening. Not wasting a moment of her time, she ran from the lead of the group all the way back to Amara's arms and hugged her. Amara was completely dependent on Temmie's body heat at the moment.

Everyone was confused. And their confusion was shortly killed by a strong  sense of fear when fog started to build in. This wasn't supposed to happen. Nothing like this was supposed to happen.

No, stop, please.

Lucy had almost started crying at the sight that she was witnessing. Erza changed into her Purgatory armour and was as alert as could be. Gray was helping in clearing out the fog that had magically built up. There were cries from the nearby village and everyone was terrified. Was Amara really this weak? All that she ever needed to he defeated was a little fog and a stupid gut sense? All those years, that she had wasted growing up... They were all in vain?

Needless to say, Erza had already asked Natsu to comfort Amara knowing he's supposedly the closest one to her. He was kneeling down and was in the state of complete confusion and fear. He could see her eyes, they were so clear and beautiful. They symbolised the universe, so pretty. Every part of her eye was carved out of nothing but pure sadness and hustle. It bought altogether the most beautiful, sable and dark black beauty in her eyes. They were so... Suddenly, he stops and says aloud  "No, I need to stop."

Just when he had said that, Amara looked at him and all he could see in her eyes was fear and hatred. He could see she hated him. She shook her head and released herself from Temmie's grasp. She stood up and Temmie looked at her with curiosity.

Amara knows when he's near, she loses her mind. She loses her control and she loses herself.

All that was going through Amara's head was memories. Or let me rephrase that, nightmares were running through her head. She could see and feel the pain that she had gone through.

"Oopsie daisy! I dropped the earlier bucket. Can I get another bucket of your blood, my sweet lady?"

Crack.

"Don't move, you already know the drill."

Crack.

"Hey, look at that! I accidentally broke 4 bones at the same time! Or was it on purpose? We will never know!"

Bang.

"Hey! I bought you a new friend today! We wanted to see if your ears can give our blood. You know. Experiments."

Centipedes... In my ear... Stop...

"STOP MOVING, YOU WORTHLESS BITCH."

Don't hit that cold metal on my bones, please. It hurts... Stop...

No, not my foot. It takes time for it to... FUCK! STOP IT! DON'T YOU KNOW IT HURTS?!

"Hey, pretty lady covered in blood, wanna see how we break your mind?"

In comes a man with his dog in a blindfold. What are they trying to do now? Wait, don't separate them, they love each other... No. No. No. No. What are you doing to that dog? No. No. STOP. OH MY GOD. NO, PLEASE. DON'T SMASH HIS HEAD. SMASH MINE INSTEAD. PLEASE, STOP.

"Why are you moving and making muffed noises? We cut your tongue for a purpose, you know. Stop making such noises."

STOP. PLEASE. KILL ME INSTEAD. LEAVE THEM ALONE.

"Fine, we'll give you a choice. Choose any one. The dog or the man. The one you choose gets to taste death."

Please... I'm tried... Stop this... Leave then alone. Kill me instead, take my blood. Don't make me make such a choice.

"Oops. Too late."

OKAY. THE DOG, LEAVE THE MAN ALONE. STOP. PLEASE. NO, DON'T KILL THEM BOTH. NO. NO. PLEASE, NO. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK. ALL BECAUSE OF ME, I DIDN'T CHOOSE. I'M SO STUPID. WHY. WHY. WHY. WHY.

"That's right. It's all your fault. They're both dead because of you now."

Just... Kill me.

"Amarantha~" Why is he back? "Are you there?" Yes, I'm there. Don't make me kill you twice. "I'll meet you soon, pretty lady."

Amara slowly started sensing what was going on, apparently, the fog had cleared and there she knelt down with tears on her face. Temmie knew what had happened. She stood aside and waited for Amara to respond. Nobody had spoke a thing.

"I'm sorry, Temmie." she shuttered, "I-I just..." and she can't find the words.

"It's okay, we'll book another day. We can go and complete the job tomorrow. Are you guys okay with that?" Temmie went over to Amara and patted her head as she spoke.

"Y-Yeah. We're completely fine." Lucy tried to come up with the words fast and she did. She's quite smart.
