Seoya's P.O.V
I sighed loudly as I took my last step on the small staircase, turning around one last time to have a small glimpse at Jimin's face; he was still stood at the kitchen window that provided him with the best view outside their apartment.
I showed him a small smile, the same one arising between his features barely a second later.
"What an idiot." I thought, turning around and taking the left road.
As my eyes trailed over my surroundings, I could already feel the thickening atmosphere, the heavy and humid air, the fog that had not entirely dissolved from this morning.
I could already tell that it was going to rain, sooner or later, when I'd be on my way to our usual meeting spot, the small library not too far away from where Jimin lived with his parents.
And even though it rained almost every time; something me and perhaps every other residents of this small, adventurous town probably got used to with time; I chose to walk instead of going by bike, taking the bus or any other public transport.
The dark clouds overlaid the blue of the sky gradually, an eerie yet calming shadow thrown over the city. Like every time I walked passed the small stores people slowly gathered in front of, looking for a shelter that would protect them from the rain.
I didn't need shelter. My heart and umbrella were enough for me to survive this.
It wasn't even five minutes after I left his house that the first drops of rain landed on the concrete underneath my feet, the windshield wipers of the cars passing me already smoothly cleaning the glasses.
It wasn't even a second later that I unzipped my bag, my hand making its way into its inside to grasp the thing that would keep me alive and breathing while walking engrossed in melancholy and the beautiful smell of the wet concrete and drenched grass.
My fingers palpated the inside, every corner but slowly, my eyes widened; the realization hitting me like the droplets of water coming from the clouds above me.
"It's useless." He'd say. "Just like you, Seoya."
The words repeating inside my head pierced through my whole body like a sharp knife, the blade sliding my insides with every new word.
"Are you going to cry, baby?" He'd laugh. "Let them go, let your tears fall into the palms of my hands, let them drop like rain."
"Stop it!" I whispered, putting some strand of hair behind my ears, quickening my pace at the same time. "Stop talking to me."
"But why? Don't you feel so good right now?"
I could already feel them.
The tears in my eyes,
The stares of the people,
The suffocating rain drops landing on my skin, mixing with my tears.
"Not today." I said, determination to be heard in my words. I started to run towards my destination, the rain hitting my face stronger and more vigorously, the exasperation and frustration slowly building inside of me.
I was determined not to let go today, but something inside of me seemed to disobey my inner orders; working against my own will.
"Baby, don't run." He'd whisper eerily, his word echoing through my head. "Let them soak you, let them control you. Let me be."
