- Iris's Point of View -

I groaned as the ringing of a phone woke me from my deep rest. I rolled over, patting the large bed. I couldn't find my phone. It rang again.

I sighed as I forced myself to get out of the warm and inviting bed. I hopped on the floor and snatched up my ringing phone from the wood floor. It was a miracle it didn't crack after I tossed it there last night.

Without even bothering to see who it was, I answered. "Hello?" I growled, still mad at whoever woke me up from my restoring sleep. "Iris? Thank goodness! I have been trying to reach you for an hour!" My mothers sweet voice rang out. I sighed again looking at the blanket-covered bed that was tempting me to cozy into it again.

"Sorry mom, I was sleeping." I heard her sigh. "It's fine, honey. I'm home now. Where are you? Did you forget that you had a meeting today?" I muttered a few choice under my breath as I checked the time.

1:38 P.M.

I swore again, a little louder this time. "Iris? Where are you?" How I managed to sleep this long, I don't know. I had completley forgotten that my management only gave me two days off to get settled. Filming is set to start in about a week and today I have to meet my new cast members and crew. I also have a table read. "I stayed at a hotel in Miami last night. I'm leaving right now. What time do I have to be there?" I quickly put my hair up and pulled on my shoes. "You have an hour." I sighed in relief and walked the door. "Alright, I will see you in a few. Love you, bye." I hung up and shut the door making my way to the lobby.

"Did you enjoy your stay?" I handed my key to the pretty brunette with dimples and a warm smile. I smiled at her cheerful attitude. "A lot actually! It's too bad that I can't stay longer." She handed me my receipt. "If you don't mind me asking, you wouldn't happen to be thee Iris Garner?" I beamed at her for reconizing me. "Yes I am." She grinned even bigger. "I couldn't help but notice that you looked familiar, plus I saw your named booked for a suite. I'm a huge fan." She looked at the floor sheepishly.

"Are you really? I love meeting new fans!" She looked up again with a hopeful glint in her eye. "I'm super excited for "Streets of Miami!" Do you think I could have a picture?"

"No problem. Here can you take a picture for us?" I handed her phone to a vistor who gladly took it for us. "Thank you so much!" She hugged me and I chuckled softly. "You're very welcome!" She pulled away and pointed to the peach colored bracelet I was wearing. "Pretty bracelet! Doesn't it remind you of macaroons?"

I stared at her like she was nuts. "Maca, what?" She tilted her head at me with a questioning look.

"You never heard of macaroons?" I shook my head. "Well, then you have to check out this amazing store that sells them. You are seriously missing out." She picked up a pen and scrawled down an address.

"You know where Alton Road is right?" I shook my head again feeling cumber by the second. "I just moved here a few days ago so I don't really know where anything is." She smiled at me. "Not a problem. I can show you around if you want?" We exchanged phone numbers. "I'd like that. I have to go now, text me later?" I hugged her and she nodded. "See ya later." I waved and left the hotel building. Are all people from Miami this kind? I waved for a taxi and told him my address.
