Newt's pov

My mom walked back in to say her final goodbyes, not even noticing my new roommate, Thomas. She pampered me with kisses, "I'll miss you, be good, stay safe, I love you, don't get in trouble, make friends, I love you-" She quickly said as I looked over at a laughing Thomas.

"Mum, mum we have company" I interrupted and she turned to Thomas and gasped.

"You must be Newt's roommate, hello!" She said as she shook his hand.

"Hello Mrs. Newt's mom" Thomas said with a big, goofy grin, shaking her hand as well then looking over at me.

I playfully rolled my eyes, "Mum, you gotta go, remember?" As much as I love having her here, she's is very embarrassing at times.

"Right, right," she pulled me into a big hug, "Call me if you need anything and say hi to Teresa for me."

Teresa is a friend of mine who is slightly older than me. We haven't seen each other since she came to this school, so we text a lot. When I told her that I'm coming to the same University, she told me to text her so we can find each other and talk.

My mum then left with blowing a kiss to me and shut the door. I let out a huff, "she's a handful" I said with a small chuckle and Thomas nodded with a smile. I then took out my phone to see a text from Teresa,
Teresa: Hey, what class do you have first?
I texted back,
English.

"So.. Newt, do you wanna go out with my friends and I? You'd like them!" Thomas asked, with a smile. God he has such a nice smile.

"Sure, why not" I said, putting my phone in my back pocket.

*Time Lapse*

We all sat at a table at a mini cafè, Thomas introduced me to his friends, Minho and Alby. They're pretty cool and I think they think I'm cool. We talked for a while, and me being my awkward self, kept on staring at Thomas. I can't help it, he's just gorgeous. Did I say I love his smile? I also found out Thomas and I have all of the same classes together, a lovely coincidence. At least I'll have a friend during class.

"Are you guys pumped for the party?" Minho asked Alby and Thomas. Alby nodded.

"Hell yeah" Thomas said, before taking another sip at his drink. "Newt, you should come!" He said looking at me.

I shook my head, "nah. I'm not the party type" Boring right? I just hate that many people and all everyone does is smoke weed, drink alcohol and fuck like its their last night on earth. I'm more of the sit at home and binge watch Netflix or reading a good book.

"Come on, it's your first night at college and you aren't going to the welcome back party? Please come" Thomas begged.

Alby sighed, "if he doesn't wanna go he doesn't wanna go" he said to Thomas and Thomas put his hands up in defense.

Minho leaned in closer to me, "just warning you, Thomas likes to bring back a girl to his dorm, even though he's not supposed to."

I cringed, "yuck," Thomas must've heard cause he snorted.

Alby  then got up, saying he had to go and soon did Minho too. Thomas and I decided to go back to our room. He got ready for the party tonight while I finished unpacking everything.

"Have fun being a party pooper" Thomas said grabbing his shoes, to go out to the party. He also looked really hot. Wowza.

I rolled my eyes, and sat on my bed, turning the tv on. Thomas then left. Time passed of just me binge watching 'Supernatural' while everyone was out partying the night away. It came to be 1:00am and I fell asleep then soon waking up to, well, intimacy from the other bed. When Minho said Thomas will bring a girl back, he sure was right and it kept me up. Although, hearing Thomas' moans was uh kinda hot.
