shoyo's pov
"Hinata.. Shoyo?" our substitute teacher scanned the whole class.

I raised my hand, "present, ma'am."

I looked down at my desk. It had a blank paper and a pen. I picked up the pen unconsciously and started writing something:

51M.

"Hinata?" a faint voice in my head said.

"Hinata!" I suddenly went back to reality. The voice wasn't in my head, it was our teacher. I guess I just dozed off.

"Yes, ma'am?"

The whole class was staring at me. What did I do wrong?

"I've been calling you for about six times now," our substitute obviously wasn't happy about that. She gave me this you're-in-trouble-mister look.

"I-I'm sorry."

After a few seconds of awkward silence, she went back to teaching us. I looked down at my desk again. The paper is filled with 51M. What the actual hell is that?

I decided not to mind it and threw the paper away.

The school bell rang, it was time for us students to leave.

"Hinata!" a familiar voice called out to me from behind. I turned around and it was Kageyama. "Are you gonna practice today?"

"Of course I am, did you really have to ask that?" I shook my head and made my way to the gymnasium.

As I walked in the hallway with a lot of students, my head started to ache. I stopped walking in the middle. The pain was unbearable. I stumbled. I bit my lower lip.

My eyes suddenly started to blink rapidly. No one seemed to notice me. I walked again but I keep on falling.

I tried to scream 'help', but nothing can come out of my mouth. Then I finally figured out what's happening. I was just hallucinating everything. There weren't any human beings left in this world. It was just me, myself, and I.

I closed my eyes shut and tried to breathe.

I was sitting beside a wall, hiding from the Z's. I had no weapon, only my bare hands. There's no way I can survive this now, but I have to. The only thing I have in my bag was some books and a cellphone.

No... I thought. I'm very sure there isn't anyone left.

I hesitated. Should I just try to call for help or run the hell out of this place?

I looked outside the place I was hiding. Seven Z's. Without any weapon I can't run. Z's are fast creatures.

I decided to try giving the cellphone a shot. The first person I called was Kageyama. No answer. Then Suga. Also no answer. Then Tsukishima, no answer. I lost hope again, but then someone called me instead. I looked at my phone:

Kenma Kozume is calling you.
Decline or Accept?

Of course I hit the accept button.

"H-h-h-hello-?" I stuttered. I was panicking but I can't show that, I have to be brave.

"Thank god you're still alive, Shouyou!" Kenma sounded so relieved to hear my voice. "Where are the others?"

"I-I don't know. I can't remember anything being with them. All I remember is that I'm doing everything I can to hide from the... Z's." I gulped. I was sweating so hard.

"Z's? That's what you call 'em? We call them Walkers." he said. "Anyway, where are you now?"

"At school. It's overrun. Every corner there's a freaking Z." I looked outside again. There were only 4 Z's now.

"So you're basically still at the Miyagi prefecture," he sighed. "There's no way you can run here to Tokyo."

"Are you safe? Who are you with?"

"Yeah, I'm safe. Don't worry about me, worry about yourself. I'm with Kuroo and the rest of the volleyball team. We're camping outside. It's safe here... for now."

"How many Z's are there in Tokyo?"

"A lot. We've been running and hiding for hours."

I suddenly coughed out blood - then puked out blood. I was a mess. My whole body ached.

"Sh-Shouyou-!" his voice sounded worried.

"I'm fine-" I wiped my mouth. "I'm fine."

"What the hell was that?"

I heard a growl. It was a Z. It found my hiding spot.

"Shit," I cussed. A few Z's were coming my way. I hit the Z's head and got out.

"Hey- what's hap- what's happening?" I couldn't hear Kenma clearly anymore. I was too focused on the herd of Z's that are walking towards me.

I tried to run but I keep on stumbling.

"Shouyou-"

"Goddammit," I kicked a Z away.

"SHOUYOU!" Kenma shouted. I almost dropped my phone. "What's happening?"

"Z's- Walkers found me." I ran into a corner. The only way was right, but that way also had Walkers.

Is this the end of me?

"Are-are you alright? Do you have a weapon with you or anything? Oh god, please be safe."

"I have nothing."

"What do you mean..?"

"I'm sorry, Kenma."

"Shouyou? Shouyou!"

Walkers were literally everywhere I looked at. They were slow now, but they'll get me in no time. I started to cry. I sat down and lost all hope.

"Natsu, mom..." I sobbed. "Kageyama..."

An image of Kageyama went to my head. I wanted him to say I'm an idiot again... one last time, before I go. He's the first person I fell in love with and the only person I'll love until the end. I wish I got to say to him how I felt. I was too shy. I regret not telling him earlier. I sobbed more.

I closed my eyes slowly. It's time for me to go. I may not be the ace of Karasuno, but... I'm sure.. I'm sure that I'm the ace of Kageyama's heart.

"I love you, Kageyama."

"Hinata boke." A familiar shadow appeared out of nowhere.

The last thing I heard was a gunshot before falling asleep.

the second chapter probably won't come out soon, i'm sorry, but school has already started here and since i'm in high school now, things'll get tougher. i'll try to update fast though.
