"Hinata boke." A familiar shadow appeared out of nowhere.

The last thing I heard was a gunshot before falling asleep.

--

"What do you think we should do?"

I heard voices.

"He's not bitten, I think it's safe to take him."

"He's been asleep for four hours straight. We have to go now."

"So what, we just let one of our own here alone with those.. with those things out there? I'm sorry man, but I can't agree with that."

"Then what-"

"W-who are you?" I spoke. I was on a bed. I realised that my hands and feet were tied and I was wearing a blindfold.

"He's awake," one of them said. "He's awake! Let's get out of this school, now!"

"Wait, Tanaka. Let's give him some food and water first."

"But Suga-"

"Please."

Suga and Tanaka... my teammates from
the volleyball club.. they're still alive, thank god.

Suga took off my blindfold. I was in the nurse's office.

"Hey, you alright?" he smiled warmly at me. The way he smiled even though a lot of bad things happened gave me hope.

"I'm fine," I said. I tried to sit up but then I just fell to the bed. My body hurt as hell and I groaned.

"Shh, shh, calm down." He held both of my shoulders. "Are you hungry? Thirsty? Anything?"

"I'm-"

Hinata boke.

"Where's Kageyama?" I immediately asked. "Where is he? Is he fine? What happened?"

"..." Suga didn't say anything and looked very, very said.

I couldn't understand at first, but tears fell when I realised.

"No, don't tell me.."

He nodded.

"No.. no no no no!" I started to sob. "He-he can't be.. he can't. No. I don't believe you. I-I heard his voice before I passed out. That gunshot.. it had to be him, right?"

I looked at Tanaka, desperate for someone to say 'yes'.

"Right?" I said once again. The pain that I felt earlier was no match to the pain I'm feeling now. It's like my heart's been stabbed. He can't be dead, he can't... he just.. can't.

I sat up once again. This time, I ignored the pain of my body.

Suga looked at me, "You still have to rest, Hinata-"

"No." I said with a blank expression. "There's no time. Are you and Tanaka the only ones here?" I struggled to get out of the ropes.
