Arrow's Dragon

Blue Moon

Next chapter I'll add what Sapphire looks as a baby, but for right now here's the blue moon.

I quickly prepare a fire near me making sure that's it's big.Grabbing my bag I grab my knife keeping it near me.

"Hey what are you doing Arrow?"

"Getting ready for the night why?"

Sapphire looks around then says "Why get ready for the night it's not dangerous if you spent the night here before right?"

"You have a point but it's the blue moon tonight so we need extra precautions" I had quickly replied still getting ready until I heard a growl.

By instinct I grabbed my stuff and grabbed Sapphire running as fast I could through the forest.

"Why are we running Arrow?"

"Did you not hear the growl just now"

"Yeah but I thought you were gonna take care of it now why are we running?"

"It's the blue moon tonight"

"Okay what's the problem with that?"

"Animals are more aggressive then they normally are"

"Okay I'm still not seeing the big difference"

"Sapphire it's means the animals are more likely gonna attack then they normally would on a regular day"

"Oh okay then you know I can fly right?"

"I know I'm not that forgetful but it's better if I carry you this time"

"I still don't get it but  there seems to be a plant following us, Arrow"

"OH, I forgot that some plants start to attack things"

 Soon enough I had started to pick up my pace.Holding onto Sapphire tight, I ran quickly out of the forest.Once I had stopped, I put Sapphire on the ground.Looking around nothing had followed us out and the plants had stopped following us.Then looking ahead on the road we ended near,there was lights ahead.Once again I grab Sapphire and quickly found a place to hide in the forest.

  As the lights got closer, I noticed that these people were warriors and there was only 2 of them.They also were from a different kingdom that I didn't know of.These warriors seemed very alert.

 Suddenly I heard a whimper,the warriors had started looking around and  I knew they had heard it to.Looking down, I noticed that it had came from Sapphire.Her eyes were full of fear, reaching down to touch her, she looked at me then she had roared.It wasn't a big or a loud roar, but it was loud enough for the warriors to hear it and start heading this way.Looking back and forth between the warriors and Sapphire, I quickly grabbed Sapphire.Sapphire kept biting me but I ignored her trying to keep her safe and get her to safety.I knew it wasn't long but it felt like forever I was running.Quickly I had feel down getting many cuts on the way down.My breathing was uneven, probably from all the running I had done from the 2 previous runs.I noticed I was loosing my sight, I knew that I was slowing losing consciousness.Looking at Sapphire, I knew I had to let her go, so I pushed her away from me.At that moment I think she had realized what had just taken place.

 Soon enough I heard hooves coming this way.Feeling sapphire nudge me, I couldn't move, I tried pushing her away again.I let darkness consume me at the wrong moment.

 Coming to a stop, I looked at the boy on the ground with the blue dragon above him."Trevor grab the dragon and i'll grab the boy". Immediately I heard a response from him.
