Ever since she first walked in, Amber has been the biggest help. From helping change my bandages, to sneaking me Burger King because she knows I don't like that nasty ass hospital food. Shorty is really something. She been answering my phone calls and keeping people from coming in my room bothering me. She's just the real MVP.
"Ricky, I'm going out for a bit, do you want something from Burger King?" Amber asked standing by the door. "Yeah, just get me a Whopper Jr, a Coke, and a small fry." I answered. "No onions, right?" She asked with a smile. "Yeah." I smiled back. "I see you starting to know me better, huh?" "Yes I am." Amber's beautiful white teeth seemed to hypnotize me. "She's just soo damn perfect." This girl is the perfect example of a ride or die. Never once has she asked me for shit yet she stay busting her ass to make sure I stay happy and healthy. "I wish my mother was like that." "Well, get yo ass out of my room and go get daddy his Burger King!" I joked. She sucked her teeth and giggled. "Boy, shut up. You ain't nobody's damn daddy." "If you slept in this bed with me sometimes, then I might be." I snickered. She rolled her eyes, giggled, and walked out of the door. "I'm gonna have to make her mine sooner or later. This friend zone shit ain't cool."
A knocking at the door broke my thoughts. "Come in!" I shouted. It was my doctor, Dr. Franklin. He was a tall white man in his early 60's. Even though his age was somewhat young, he looked far from it. His hair was covered in grey and white streaks, his skin was a little saggy, and his over-sized bifocals threatened to fall off of his face. "Mr. Ramirez, there is an officer here to speak to you about the events that occurred that landed you here." I rolled my eyes. I'm really not in the mood to talk to no damn police. "Aight, send 'em in." I folded my arms. The doctor walked out and a few minutes later, there was a knock at the door again. I sighed thinking it was the doctor. "Come in, man." I said in an irritated tone. The door opened but I couldn't see who walked in. "Is that anyway to talk to a good friend?" The voice said. "I know that voice." "Silence? From a Ramirez? I would've never thought I'd see the day." The voice spoke again. The officer proceeded to step out of the shadows. He stood at the foot of my bed and a sly grin. "Oh, fuck!" My anger-side threatened to peek its ugly little head, my heart threatened to beat out of my chest, and I immediately began to sweat. "So you're not going to say hello to your family friend? Or do you not remember me?" He continued to taunt me. I know exactly who he is. How could I ever forget? "Franco." I whispered loud enough for him to hear. "Bingo, kid!" He smiled. "What the fuck do you want, Franco? You got my uncle. Is he not enough for you?" I asked angrily. "Unfortunately, no, he's not. Do you remember that brief talk I had with you before I got your Uncle?" I remained silent and continued to mug him. He continued. "I supposed not. I understand. It was 8 years ago and you probably can't think back that far." He paused for me to comment but I remained silent. "I told you to run, Ricardo. That's what I told you. And you ran alright. You ran right into some trouble. Just like a Ramirez would do." "What the fuck does any of that shit have to do with why you are here, Franco?" I asked irritated. "I'm getting to that, kid. Pump your breaks. Now, you obviously have a history of unnatural deaths in your family. From your Grandfather, Rico Ramirez all the way down to your father, Noraj Ramirez. Now someone is trying to spill your blood. Can you shine some light on the reason for that?" Franco gave me the floor like I was really going to give up all my information. Franco is a well-known enemy of the family. I may not have any serious encounters with him but that makes him my enemy as well. So, I glared at him with death in my eyes with my mouth closed. "Of course you won't say shit. Stubborn just like Chico." He chuckled. "Listen, Ricky, you are 18. You have so much in store for you. You could've ended this cycle of bloodshed caused by your family but instead, you walk directly in their footsteps." He sounded soo concerned and it was pissing me off. "You're out here selling drugs, getting people killed..." I cut him off immediately. "How the fuck do you know what I'm doing with my life, Franco? You like me or some shit?" He chuckled. "I do like you, Ricky. You seemed like a good kid in the wrong family when I met you. I actually felt sorry for you. I locked up your uncle for your own good." "Oh yeah, and what did that do except piss me off?" "I wanted you to see what would happen to you if you went down that road of destruction that Chico went down. I wanted to guide you in the right direction." "Fuck you, Franco! You locked up my uncle because you wanted to become famous for catching a Ramirez. But I'm gonna tell you something. YOU ARE ONE OF THE WEAKEST OFFICERS ON THE FORCE EVER! YOU COULDN'T EVEN CATCH A NIGGA THAT YOU SEEN ALMOST EVERYDAY! You always knew where he lived and where he went, but you were too stupid to snatch him. I give you credit where it's due, you got him. But you took too long. If you really cared, you would've gotten him before I was old enough to figure out what he was doing to get money. So, you can eat a dick, Franco. Eat a whole entire hard hairy infected dick, YOU FUCKING FAGGOT! YOU DON'T HAVE SHIT ON ME AND I DON'T KNOW SHIT, SO GET THE FUCK OUT!" Veins popped out the side of my forehead and my eyes turned bloodshot red as I pointed to the door, but I never took my eyes off of him. He shook his head, started to walk, and then paused. "I really tried to help, Ricky. I'm on your side. But now, along with Rich and Simon, you'll have to go down with your uncle. I'm disappointed in you, Ricky." Franco shook his head with disappointed eyes. "FUCK YOU, BITCH ASS NIGGA! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SHIT, BEFORE I FUCK YOU UP!" He took one final glance at me and proceeded out the door.
I can't believe this fucker came back trying to get at me. I really shouldn't be surprised because Rich told me that this faggot has a hard-on for all of my family. I just didn't think he'd start harassing me soo quick. He was supposed to stay in the past like he was dead and gone. But I see Milwaukee got ghosts. And I already know, Franco spooky ass gonna start haunting me. I grab my cell-phone and dial Simon's number and waited for him to pick up. "What up, bro? You good?" He spoke as soon as he accepted my call. "Nah, bro. We got a problem." I said preparing to speak in code. "What kind of problem, bro?" "A ghost problem." I spoke in code. Simon immediately knew that I was talking about Franco. He sighed and asked in an irritated tone: "So, our house is haunted, bro?" "Yes, bro." "Well we gotta get an exorcist then, my nigga!" "Indeed." We hung up and I tried to think of someone to take care of Franco. The only person that could help me with Franco is Uncle Chico and I haven't talked to him since he got sentenced. Everything is beginning to fuck up! And Franco is gonna make it worse! "He gotta go!"
