Chapter Two

I finally packed my things into my trunk and smiled in triumph. Maiya-1, Luggage-0. I went back inside to say goodbye to Kate. The anticipation was killing me. On the way, there was a donut place so of course I stopped. Who can give in to donuts? After ordering the biggest box of donut holes, I finally made my way to my new hell.

The college was a pretty prestigious school. One of the only reasons I'm attending this place is because of a scholarship. Without that, I would never be able to afford tuition. I'm a film major and I dream of writing scripts.

I parked my car, scared absolute shitless of what was going to become of me here. My style is "I honestly don't care about how I look. I'm comfortable so fuck you", while everyone else here has that "I am very rich and have a very successful family, but under all of that I'm a cunty little bitch with my head stuck up my own ass". I am NOT going to fit in here.

A guy walked up to me with a blank expression and asked,
"Welcome to campus. Do you know your dorm information or do you not attend?"

"I attend, but I have no idea where my dorm is." I answered with as much enthusiasm as I could muster up.

"What's the name?" he asked with no emotion.

"Maiya. Maiya Koskey." I stuttered.

"Room 42, floor 5. Have a great time on campus. If you need anything, look for someone in the same uniform I'm in." he said with a little more pep and I immediately felt better. That is until I remembered how much stuff I had to take up five floors.

I sighed and began to take my luggage up to my dorm room. The room was quite large and I didn't have a dorm mate which was great. Since I'm a lazy bum, I put my suitcases in my closet and plopped down on my bed after making it. It was very comfortable. Against my will, I actually fell asleep for around two hours. A person like me shouldn't be trusted with a bed. I will ALWAYS find a way to sleep. I woke up at about 4 PM and sighed. Kate had called a total of fourteen times and texted me three. Her words were:

Kate: How is it there? Anyone cute? 😉😏
Kate: Mai!
Kate: DON'T MAKE ME CALL YOU!
Me: Sorry. Took a nap 😂😂

After responding to psycho, I decided to get up and meet people. The courtyards were beautiful. The grass was lush, there were lots of trees, and there were some gardens with gorgeous flowers. I looked around at some of the people and came to an abrupt stop when my eyes landed on a girl. My heart skipped a beat.
