As soon as she'd ordered two extra large coffees, Sky had been searching for cheep apartments in the local area.

It had been nearly an hour when she finally leaped out of her seat and jumped in silent joy.

"Err... Sky... What the hell?" It was Ryan.

"Oh - Ryan! II've fount the perfect apartment! I'm so happy I could scream right now! Agh!" Ryan looked around at the 4 people in the small shop. There was a man in a suit who was sitting in the corner, headphones in and typing furiously on his laptop. There was also a couple sitting at the back who were obviously the sort of snooty girlfriend boyfriend 'we're better than everyone else leave us the hell alone' sort of couple. They were too encoded in their sickening flirting to even notice his new friend leaping about the place... There was also an old guy sitting with a newspaper... he was scowling at them both...

"Okay - Sky calm down" he said quietly. Sky looked around, turning a bright shade of red...

"OMG I'm so sorry!" she announced to the shop. the old guy just straightened his newspaper and ignored her.

Sky put her hands to her mouth. She literally was bubbling with excitement! She could stay in California with Ryan! She'd have a friend and a house!

"So where is this 'dream apartment' of yours?" asked Ryan.

"Errm" Sky trotted over to her laptop and typed a word or two in. "About a 20 minute drive from here... I could get a cab?"

Ryan made a coughing sound and gestured to himself. "what? oh - you'd take me? Oh you've done enough seriously-"

"No no no no." He said, silencing her. "I'm on duty again in 5 minutes. It's either taking you to your apartment or ferrying around some chicks off to a stupid Friday night party..."

"It's only like half two..."

"Tell me about it."

Sky laughed. "If you insist! but only if I can buy you another coffee for the day..."

"Ugh Sky you little-" but she'd already walked off and up to the counter.

When they got into the cab and had re-programmed the GPS. They began talking about things that interested them. They both lived reading and music. Ryan actually seemed to be married to music! They both liked comic books and Sky loved computers. Ryan also seemed to be married to Mexican food!

As they spoke, Sky saw the scenery outside change dramatically from small shops to busy high streets to small country roads then back to more tiny shops they turned around a corner and Sky saw a comic shop. Another corner, and Sky was met with a coffee shop that Ryan said was a 'If-you-don't-have-a-coffee-from-there-you-haven't-lived' coffee shop. Around the bend was the most amazing white building. Windows as tall as Sky and Ryan stood on top of each other! It was perfect!

As they were getting out if the small cab a voice came from seemingly nowhere "Umm, hello?" Said the invisi-woman.

"Hello?" said Sky not wanting to sound THAT stupid.

"Hello..." finally Sky could see the owner of the voice. She was a tall, thin woman, taller than both Ryan and Sky and dressed from head to toe in black and white.

"Hello you must be Sky... I know you says short notice but I didn't think you'd be here any time this week!"

"Oh err... sorry," replied Sky looking at her feet.

"Its okay but you might. not be able to get one today..."

"Oh but please she has nowhere to go!" It was Ryan. 'Oh Ryan... you really are such a great friend...' Thought Sky.

"Ugh. let me look!" replied the woman and after about half an hour of her being on the phone she finally said "okay... we have one left."

"One what" said Sky.

"One more apartment your after... the one bed, furnished, rental property?"

"Errm" thought Sky "yes... that's the one."

"Okay do you want me to show you there?" said the woman. Sky looked at her shoulder where a white badge blended in with her white jacket. The badge said 'Hello my name is Kayel"

"Erm no thank you kay-eel?"

"What?!" Kayel looked down at her badge. "oh it's pronounced Kay-el and okay here's your key your on the top floor, third door to the left." Kayel said, handing Sky a small silver key.

"Don't you need to pay her anything?" said Ryan trying to make conversation on the long trudge to the too floor

"Nope... we do these things on the Internet, Ryan..."

"Okay, but they could have AT LEAST mentioned the broken lift!"

"Ugh... men are so lazy..."

"Ugh... women are so annoying..."

When they finally arrived in Sky's new apartment Ryan collapsed onto the couch and demanded a sandwich while Sky went off to put on her jammies on in her new room...

When she came out she saw Ryan fast asleep on her couch. She got a Blakey from her closet and put it on a sleeping Ryan. Then, she put a sleepy Sky to bed and fell asleep instantly.
