Elliot was getting worse and I had decided that it was time to take a break from school.

So when Elliot went to get ready for school i stopped him and said we were doing something else today, he had looked at me oddly but nodded and got dressed in casual clothing.

"Elliot I'm taking you to the mall, I need to get you something but I need your help to choose what one." I said to him as we headed towards the bus stop, Elliot just shrugged and quietly followed.

When we got to the mall I dragged Elliot toward the pet store. "Elliot pick an animal that you want as your pet" I said.

At the mention of him having a pet I swear I saw a slight spark in his eyes but I wasn't to sure at the time, but thinking back to that day I now know that I did indeed see a dash of happiness pass through his eyes, oh how I had missed that golden shine.

Elliot walked over to the kitten section with me following behind, I had always known Elliot had wanted a pet but his parents wouldn't allow him so I had decided to make one of his wishes come true since my parents didn't care if we have animals in the house and they weren't home to protest anyways so I thought why not.

Elliot ended up choosing a cute grey cat. It turned out that the cat had been there a year and no one had wanted it Elliot felt the need to give the gorgeous creature a home.

I always loved Elliot's kind heart.

We got all the supplies for the cat and headed home, we had to walk since the bus didn't allow animals but I didn't mind and Eliot was to fascinated by his new pet to even care.

Elliot ended up calling the cat nibbles cause he loved to softly nibble on your arm when he wanted attention which we thought was adorable, we had taken a few weeks off school and Elliot was starting to get a small shine of life back in his eyes.

I was so delighted to see how much nibbles had helped him. I remember feeling depressed and that nothing could help me.

I was happy that he was slowly getting better but I felt like it wasn't cause of me. I felt like he didn't want me to help him. That I was just a burden to him and a way to remember the asshole Tate..

After not going to school I had decided that Elliot was to drop out, I talked to him about it well it was mostly me talking but he had agreed, I stayed in school though and kept my reputation.

People feared me, I got into a lot of fights and started up street fighting anything to lose some of the anger I felt but nothing worked. I came home late and hardly spent time with Elliot as I thought he didn't want me around him, oh how I wish I spent more time with him now....

On Elliot's seventh birthday I got him a husky which Elliot ended up calling Elvis which I thought was adorable.

The spark in Elliot's eye was really bright for that day it was honestly breathtaking it had been forever since I saw his eyes glow like that, I felt at peace for once.

Elliot's birthday was a good day, nibbles and Elvis got along great and Elliot wouldn't stop smiling while playing with them, it truly was magical.

That night before I went to bed Elliot came up to me and hugged me.

"Alexis thank you! Thank you for everything. You're the bestest friend anyone can ask for, I'm sorry I'm such a hassle..."  He had said with a tear slipping down his face, I wiped the tear away and looked into his eyes.

"Elliot you aren't a hassle! I would do anything to make you happy you are my best friend and I love you. Nothing is ever going to change that! Don't cry E I'm always here for you if you need me." I guess my words had helped he had smiled and hugged me tightly before heading off to his room.

That is a memory I will forever cherish, the glow in his eyes will forever leave a light in the darkness I am feeling.
