Rivaille x Petra - Outside the Walls.
It was quiet in the forest that moment and all we can hear was the noise that was coming from the maneuver gear of Corporal Rivaille.
Zooming from tree to tree, the air ruffled his hair. He had his straight face on and he was looking for his squad,but he couldn't find any trace of them or any proof that they were still alive. And he couldn't find footprints that led to the female titan.
He cringed, just by the thought of the monster made him angry.
He left them to go after Eren because he knew that they would still win over the female titan because they were better off even without him. Needless to say, Rivaille's squad were the most skilled than the rest, In his team goes Erd, Gunther, Auruo, and ... Petra.
Petra..
Rivaille always had a soft spot for her. They've been close for awhile because of the trainings they did together. Even without words, they just enjoy each others company.
He was still passing tree by tree, but then slowed down when he saw something from the left corner of his eye. Blood drpping from the member's body, he realized that it was Gunther. Dead.
He didn't took another glance nor stopped to see if his comrade was still alive by chance, He just continued swinging in the air. His gaze went to someone who was lying on the ground, lifelessly. Erd.
The corporal still didn't stop, but he saw an amorphous form, not afar from Erd. This time, he stayed long in the air. The third member, Auruo, was dead.
" No , it can't be.." He thought silently to himself.
He sped up his speed, not caring where to go next. All he wanted to see was the girl he'd been longing for. He stopped short when he saw a body, just below the giant tree below him. All of a sudden, something flashed into his mind. Moments when he first held hands with her, When the girl put her head on the Corporal's shoulder and the tender kiss that they both shared. And all he was the moments with her reminded him of the best feeling in the world.
A feeling that can never be brought back to reality because it was only now a memory...
Sorrow, regret, anger, and sadness filled his entire body, yet he doesn't want to show it. He was about to go down carry Petra away from this hard place, away from the hurt that she once felt , away from everything. So she can be with him even though she can't feel anything, Rivaille heard a loud screech.
Almost instantly, he knew it was from Eren. And if he doesn't move out, maybe Eren will get killed. Maybe it just isn't meant to be.
He gave Petra one last look and whispered,
" We will meet again outside of the walls at the place that doesn't exist on maps."
