The Storm

She had a light inside her

A light so bright

No one could turn

Her day into night

But just like the sun

It went up and then down

And her light was no more

So she took off her crown

They had stolen the glow

That kept her alive

So they could see

So they could survive

But without that light

Keeping her warm

Darkness came in

And brought a big storm

She fought and she fought

Against the waves and the rain

Only to find

There was nothing but pain

She searched and she searched

For the light she had held dear

But it was no use

The light is not here

So she waited it out

Hoping the storm would pass

Forgetting that every storm

Produces greener grass
