Hanging By A Thread

Chapter 3, Pisces.

Beep, Beep. I got up, looking in the mirror. My hair was a mess. I brushed it out then braided it to the side. I put on the outfit I had picked out for today and put it on, checking myself over before I went downstairs and grabbed my bag.

I made some bacon, eating afew I put others on a plate and run to Cancer's home. I open the door and run to his room yelling, "CANCER YOU BETTER BE UP!"

I open the door and he is still in bed. I take a piece of bacon and wave it in front of his face. His eyes widen open as he smells the bacon and trys to snatch it from me. I step away from the bed and say, "Get ready and I will be waiting with your bacon downstairs."

He groans and gets up just as I walk out and down the stairs. I sigh and know I will have to do that everyday this year.

I sit on a stool and go on my phone, every once and awhile looking up. I hear Cancer stumbling down the stairs and I push the bacon twards him as he sits down. "Good morning," I say.

"Good mornin'." he says through a mouth full of bacon.

I stifle a laugh. "Well aren't you a happy Cancer."

He gave me a look like 'You kidding I got bacon sitting in front of me right now.

I laugh this time. "Okay well we gotta meet the others at school today."

We walked out of his house and to school meeting Libra and Gemini on the way. We all talked chatting about what classes they have. I see the edgelord walking on the other side of the street. I say a bit too loudly, "Edgelords on the loose roaming the town!"

We all burst out laughing and the guy across the street glares at me. "Okay I'm done now." I say. We get to school and Leo, Sagittarius. The boy I call edgelord walking inside. We talk for a bit until I go to put my stuff in my locker. Checking over my schedule, I walk to homeroom.

I got there a bit late, the only seat was by Mr. Edgelord. I sighed and sat next to him. "Oh look, well isn't it the Name caller."

I rolled by eyes and said, "Not my Fault you look like an edgelord."

He looked annoyed and stared forward. The teacher started roll call. I said here, as well as some others. There were some new names, Aquarius, Aries, Virgo, and one other, the edgelords name. Scorpio. Wow such and edgy name for an edgelord. Scorpio. The name repeated itself in my head for god knows what reason. Then I heard my name, I said "Here!"

Scorpio smirked. Probably musing about know my name. The teacher just said we could talk for a bit. I pulled out my sketch pad, drawing something I didn't realise I was drawing.

Scorpio leaned over he seemed to be looking over my shoulder. I didn't mind him still drawing. He was still looking over my shoulder when I said, "Well aren't you a sneaky little spy."

He leaned back into his own chair, "No, just curious."

I looked up and narrowed my eyes at him. He shrugged me off. I drew for a bit longer before the bell rang. I had AES or Advanced Elemental Studies. More like have fun with your powers. I put my stuff in my locker and take some stuff out. I head to the element arena they have in the school. It is a beautiful era suited for the ones with elemental powers. Like me. I have an unusual water power. Maybe not unusual.

I get to the arena, I see the Scorpio guy, Cancer, Leo, and Libra. Theres the new girl Virgo too. Maybe some others I don't know. I head to the assigned water area. I stood near the water, delaying the time I have before I touch it. Edgelord walked over and said, "What not know your power."

"I have been here for all my years in high school, of course I do." I replied.

He seems to scoff and say "Then be a good little girl and show us what you got."

Cancer had come over by now and said, "I don't think you want to do that..."

Scorpio rolls his eyes and rushes at me, basically taking us both to the water. He got off me and said, "See wasn't so hard.."

I knew what was happening my mind wasn't thinking right, I knew it. I grinned a evil grin. "Do you really want to fight me? Well then come at me." I said, maybe a bit cocky.

He smiled, "If you say so.."

He rushed at me no plan whatsoever. I lifted my arm, though not needing to I had already mastered this. The water rose with my arm, I moved it forward, it seemed to wrap around Scorpio, keeping him in place. It started to wrap around his chest, as I closed my fist. I let go after a bit, maybe I got bored. Hard to tell now. Cancer had his hand on my shoulder. "Get off me." I growled.

Cancer shook his head, my judgement still impaired. I shook him off repeating myself, "Get.. Off... Me.."

He took his hand and moved my head to were Scorpio was now standing, the way he seemed to look at me, like a scared manner shook me out of my state. I looked at the water, then at Scorpio, then to Cancer. I mutter, "This happens a lot more that you think.."

I sit near the water but not too close, zoning out for the remainder of the class. The incident still fresh in my mind, I go to my next class once the bell rings.
