Timesonics: Reunion

Chapter 1

Frost covered the trees that once fluroished with Sakura blossoms. Snow filled the ground where the grass once grew. For Daisuke, the winter season gave him the perfect hiding place. With his dark attire, he could easily blend in with the lifeless trees that covered the forest like the plague. Anyone could walk right past Daisuke and no one would be able to recognize him. Just as he was trained to do, he was practically invisible. The chill from the occasional gust of wind made Daisuke uncomfortable, but now wasn't the time to worry about comfort for he had a mission to complete.

Through the heavy snow fall, Daisuke spotted his target. A figure in the resemblance of a person walked towards his location. The target wore a red plaid zip up hoodie, and a surgeons mask that covered the lower half of his face. Daisuke recognized the person known as Dare.

"So, you finally show up." Daisuke said to himself quietly as he pulled out a shuriken. He waited for Dare to turn his back towards him so he can perform the execution quickly and quietly. "I've grown quite tired of waiting for you. Now be a good boy and walk away."

Daisuke watched as Dare kept walking towards him. The sound of crunching snow got closer and louder than before, showing no sign of retreat. Thoughts ran through Daisuke's mind. Why wasn't he turning around? Did Dare see him? Daisuke slowly raised his shuriken, ready to strike at any moment's notice.

Silence suddenly filled the atmosphere. Dare had stopped in place, looking towards Daisuke's location. Dare was so close to him that Daisuke could finish him off right there he stood. As Dare continued to look at where he was hiding, Daisuke prepared to take action, clenching the shuriken tight.

"Are you done hiding?" Dare finally spoke, breaking the silence. The tone in his voice made it seem like he wasn't planning on going anywhere. Daisuke knew his cover was blown. He had no choice but to come out of hiding and deal with him the hard way. He finally gave in and walked slowly out from trees that camouflaged him well, keeping his hands hidden the the pockets of his trench coat.

"Well," Daisuke began. "I see you're not to be easily taken for a fool. I'm impressed you were able to expose me."

"Wasn't hard." said Dare in a stern tone. "Tell me, were you planning to kill me?"

Daisuke chuckled, "My you are a smart man, and I was starting to consider sparing you, but where's the fun in that?" Almost immediately Daisuke drew a katana blade, pointing the tip of the blade towards Dare's chest.
"I'm going to have so much fun cutting you into bits and pieces." said Daisuke with an eager grin across his face.

"Oh? Is that a threat or a promise?" Dare asked? He remained calm even though he was on the edge of possibly losing his life.

"Trust me, this is a promise I intend to fulfill." Without another word spoken, Daisuke charged towards Dare and penetrated his katana blade into Dare's chest.

"It's too bad, I was starting to enjoy your company..huh?" Daisuke realized that he had not stabbed Dare but rather a stuffed dummy with Dare's clothing. "B-but that's impossible! How did he..?" Daisuke looked around the area to see where Dare was hiding, but he was nowhere to be found for Dare had already left the Sakura Blossom Forest.
