Chapter 4: Running from love

Katelyn's P.O.V

i drove all of us home as fast as i could and when i dropped off Abby i had aphmau take Abby up to the door cause i don't want Jeffery to see me cry... when we got home i ran into my room and grabbed my iPod and earbuds but before i could walk out of the house aphmau grabbed my wrist

"what happened between you and max" she asked sitting me down on the couch

"i-i-i honestly don't k-k-know.... he is different... a good different..." i said smiling just thinking about him

"do you like him" she asked

"y-y-yes" i said with tears in my eyes

"then why did you run" she asked

"i-i-i never felt this way about someone... but love is like someones weak spot... and i don't know how this whole love thing works.. i don't want to get hurt" i said 

"i have known max for a few years now and in all this time i have never seen him look at someone the way he looks at you" she said patting my back... i just got up and ran out the door and ran to the park... i climbed up the cherry blossom tree which apparently is supposed to tell you who your soul mate is... i sat on the branch and clicked play on my music... it was playing battle field so i started to sing along.

Max's P.O.V

i'm still heart broken about Katelyn... i just can't get her out of my head... i was walking in the park trying to clear my head when i spotted a cherry blossom tree... it was almost as beautiful as Katelyn..

i walked up and sat under the tree... i started to hear singing but that voice was so familiar... i looked up to see a girl with pale skin, blue eyes that sparkled in the moon light, and long blue hair that was flowing in the wind... it was Katelyn...

when she finished singing she looked down and saw me and smiled with a tear in her eye... she jumped down from the tree and i caught her in my arms... she was so light.

"m-max?"

"y-yes k-Katelyn" i stuttered

"LOOK OUT" she yelled and i turned around and ducked just in time to dodge a sword blade flying towards my head

"well well well look what we got here... The Mithzan and oh Katelyn... what a surprise... 2 non-armed  weaklings perfect" the dude said said with a smirk

Katelyn's P.O.V

Gene came out of no where and swung his sword at Max but luckily he dodged.

"well well well look what we got here... The Mithzan and oh Katelyn... what a surprise... 2 non-armed weaklings perfect" the Gene said said with a smirk

he swung his sword at Max but to fast for Max to dodge so i did the first thing i thought to do... i quickly summoned my fire fist from my bag and blocked the attack and i could see the surprised look on Gene's face... i used all my strength to push Gene to the ground but he got back up and slashed his sword at me to fast and the last thing i remember before blacking out was Max punching Gene and grabbing his sword and took him down with unbelievable skill and speed...
