COLORADO,

We reached Colorado by afternoon 2 o clock stopping twice in the middle. It was Sam's turn for choosing a destination in Colorado so we kept quiet while he drove us somewhere which he didn't disclose because it was a surprise. Both me and Anya slept of half of the time through the travel where we felt like the car was rising or travelling upwards.

After sleeping for an hour or so I felt my body being sore because Anya curled up against me sleeping on me. Ever since we found her, she never slept alone with the fear and nightmare, it aches my heart to think of it so I always cuddle with her so she can sleep well. I held Anya properly against my chest so she won't wake up. Looking outside the car window I noticed We were driving up the mountains. "Sam where are we going?". Sam looked surprised to hear my voice at first, then he replied "Mount Evans".

I looked at him weirdly later decided to leave it

I looked at him weirdly later decided to leave it. I looked at my phone for any updates from the police. But there were none so I decided to try the numbers from Anya's card. Nobody picked from both the number. It irked me, but I decided to put that thought aside for now. Upon reaching the top of the mountain we found a big group of family having campfire over there.

Noticing us they welcomed us to join them. Anya ran up to the campfire and started dancing just like how Sam and Anya did back in Nevada. All the elders started laughing and loved her already. Of course she is so cute that nobody can hate her. She ran and sat on the lap of the leader of the group who was narrating stories to the crowd.

The ladies were busy unpacking food from the trunk of the car. Sam and I split up, where I went to the ladies helping them with the food while Sam was sitting with the elders having Anya on his lap listening to the story intently. The ladies here were so sweet they treated me like family. I served the food to each and every member. After serving I brought two cups in hand. I left my cup beside Sam and carried Anya in my arms and started feeding her.

We started walking as Anya didn't want to sit idle in one place. Leaving the group, I went walking around and gave her food while she was busy counting stars. She is never going to give up on that soon, I said smiling to myself. After eating the family lent us an extra tent which they had surprisingly and helped us build the tent. We all spoke for a while about our stories leaving the kids to sleep in the tent. Past midnight we went to sleep.

Waking up the next morning to the bright Colorado sun, we came out of our tent to be welcomed by the sweet smell of coffee. I let Anya and Sam sleep for a while. Last night after the kids slept, they served wine to keep us warm. I noticed Sam gulping down a lot. But I didn't drink more than one glass knowing I have Anya to take care of.

Sam got drunk pretty much and went to sleep. I got back inside the tent holding the coffee out for Sam to take it. It was clear that he was having a hangover. He slowly took the cup from my hands and started drinking the coffee while I gave him Advil which I found in his car. It was time for us to leave. So I packed the bags and thanked them all for a being so sweet and became the designated driver for the day with a grumpy Sam and innocently sleeping Anya on his lap. I switched on the GPS and got back on the road to our next stop Missouri..
