It wasn't long before I was able to reach Dain. We had been fighting for what felt like mere minutes. I killed every Orc that was within my reach, and I made sure that my nephews and Nemirien were always close to me. I turned around and slashed my sword at an Orc when I saw Dain walking towards me.
"Hey, cousin! What took you so long?" he exclaimed. I laughed as I embraced him. When we let go, we both took in our surroundings. "There's too many of these buggers, Thorin. I hope you've got a plan." Dain said.
I turned my gaze towards Ravenhill and glared. "Aye. We're going to take out their leader." I found one of the goats nearby and climbed on its back. "I'm gonna kill that piece of filth!" I seethed. This was where it would end. This was when I would take out Azog the Defiler, and pay him back for all he has done to me.
The next thing I knew, Nemirien had climbed onto my goat and had her arms securely wrapped around my waist. We were soon followed by my nephews and Dwalin, and we headed towards Ravenhill with great speed. With the strength of the goats, it didn't take us long to reach the top. I was surprised to find the watchtower empty once we'd cleared away all enemies in our way. "Where is he?" I growled. The five of us all checked our surroundings.
"Looks empty. I think Azog has fled!" Kili said.
Nemirien shook her head. "No. He hasn't. I know him very well. I know he's still here." she said cautiously. After taking another look, I turned to my eldest nephew.
"Fili, take your brother. Scout out the towers. Keep low and out of sight. If you see something, report back. Do not engage, do you understand?" I told him. They both nodded when Dwalin came running towards us.
"We have company. Goblin mercenaries, no more than a hundred." he said.
I nodded. "We'll take care of them." I turned my head back to my nephews. "Go. Go!"
Dwalin and I hardly lifted a finger. The minute we raised our weapons, a tidal wave rolled in from the side, and swept them away. Apparently, Goblins were pretty lousy swimmers. They were practically drowned instantly. Dwalin turned around and raised his eyebrows at Nemirien, who was smiling through her minor panting.
"Do you plan on taking away all my fun, Little Pixie?" he challenged.
Nemirien giggled. "I think you two will be needing to get behind me in the future." she laughed. I chuckled as I led them both on. I was looking over the frozen river. There was still no sign of Azog, and my smile faded.
"Where is that Orc filth?" Dwalin spat. I was trying to look further into the distance when I heard the most unexpected voice call out.
"Thorin!"
I turned around with wide eyes. "Bilbo!" I breathed. I saw Nemirien give a laugh of relief as she ran and embraced the Hobbit. He gave a smile, but it faded quickly.
"What's wrong?" Nemirien asked. Bilbo turned his head back to me.
"You have to leave here. Now. Azog has another army attacking from the North! This watchtower will be completely surrounded, there will be no way out!" he exclaimed. I widened my eyes and Dwalin shook his head.
"We are so close! That Orc scum is in there! I say we push on!" he pressed, taking a step forward. I put an arm out in front of Dwalin to stop him.
"No. That's what he wants. He wants to draw us in." Dwalin looked at me as my eyes widened in realization. "This is a trap." I looked at Nemirien, who was turning her head every which way, anticipating an attack. My thoughts turned to my nephews, who were still out there. I quickly turned back to Dwalin. "Find Fili and Kili. Call them back!" I told him.
