chapter 14

Alexa's POV

"Megan is alive, but she is in critical condition in a coma.  If she doesn't wake up in the next week, we have to take her off of life support."

I couldn't let that happen.

"Doctor?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"What happened to her? None of us know the story, we were wondering if you do."

"I don't know, but the police department does. I am good friends with the sheriff, so just tell him you know me." She winks at us.

I immediately turn to Jordan. "Will you take me to the police station? I need to know what happened."

"Sure," he replies.

"Can Will and I come?" Lindsey asks.

Those two have inseparable lately.

"Sure," I say.

Jordan looks at Liam sympathetically, "You want to come?"

"No, I want to stay here with Megan."

"Okay, let's get moving."

Jordan, Lindsey, Will, and I stepped out into the cold, winter night, determined to find out what had happened to one of our best friend.

Liam's POV

Everyone eventually left, just leaving me alone with Megan.

She has the most beautiful brown, wavy hair you'll ever see. Her eyes were as blue as the sky, even though her eyes were shut, I knew how beautiful they were.  Ever since I met her, I was in love with her. She is so funny and caring.  I miss when we used to just record MCSG together, and things weren't near as complicated as they were now.  We always would make fun of Graser and he always got sad, but he knew we were kidding. I miss how we both secretly shipped Alexa and Jordan.   We would always laugh at them when they recorded together because we knew they both loved each other. ( ;D ) She was the best girl anyone could ask for, she was especially knowledgeable on everything, not just Minecraft.

And by the end of all this, I might not even have a girlfriend.

I glanced down at my watch to look at the time.

11:15 PM

I probably should go home.

I grabbed my jacket and leaned down to kiss her.

"Please stay alive," I whisper to her, "because I love you and I need you."

I kiss her once again and I walk down the stairs and step out into the cold of Chicago.

It was almost as cold as the heart of whoever did this to Megan.

But not quite.

Alexa's POV

Jordan and I had beaten Lindsey and Will to the car (we decided to make it a race). We both got in the car and locked it behind us, laughing.

"What do you think about a make out session? We haven't had one of those in a while..." He smirks at me.

"Sure," I smile at him.

He smashed his lips into mine and we passionately kissed for awhile, until he reached his hand up the back of my shirt.

"Keep it PG, maybe?" We heard someone yell from outside the car.

We immediately pulled away from each other and I unlock the car door.

"Hi Lindsey," I say akwardly.

"Well, let's get going!" Will says.

Lindsey and Will made out the whole ride there.

~~~ time skip ~~~

"So, what do you know about the Megan Black case?" I ask the sheriff.

"All we know, is that she was going to see her new boyfriend, when her old boyfriend showed up in the elevator and stopped it. He started punching and beating her. He eventually pulled out a gun and shot her right above her liver."

"Did the old boyfriend happened to be named Parker Cooren?" Will asks.

"Yes."

"Where is Parker now?" Lindsey asks cautiously.

"Unfournately, he got away. We have many search teams out looking for him right now, though. It's getting late, you all should probably be heading home!"

"Ok," we all replied.

We all walked outside, all of us were in shock that they hadn't caught Parker yet.

"We're not actually going home are we?" Jordan asks.

"Nope," I reply, "we're going to go find Parker."

Megan's POV

I walked through the hospital hallways. I was finally healed! I was now heading home to see Liam.

As I turned the corner I saw Stacy, Devon, Adley, Christine, and Julio.

"How are you guys here? I thought you were dead..."

"Because you'll be joining them soon," a voice says. I'd know that voice anywhere. Parker.

He grabs his gun and aims it right at me. I crumple to the ground.

I wake up screaming.

"Liam!" I yell. "Liammmm!"

I start to cry. A nurse then walks in and injects me with something, and I fall back into a deep sleep.
