DEIFYING NERD

Chapter 2

Matilda's POV:

Last day at this horrible school! Well i am the most popular girl in school and i can't believe i'm saying this but yes school is boring here and now next term i will be at Lyndle High School. I get the chance to start fresh. I'm sick of having the same people around me 24/7 and i am getting sick of the attention. I might even find myself a boyfriend that will actually care about me. He'd be funny, athletic, cute,smart.  AWWW i can see it already. 

Anyway. I'm just leaving the house a little earlier than usual, i live with my aunt. My parents died when i was little in a- you know i'm not ready to tell you yet. It hurts to remember. I head to the small coffee shop across the road from my house and then head inside to see a familiar face standing at the register. I try to avoid that familiar face because that face was my boyfriend. Well soon ex-boyfriend. 

"Hey Matilda." Blake Says swinging a second coffee cup into my face. I paused and tried to smile. 

"Oh, no. Whats wrong your doing your fake smile." He continued.

"We better sit down, can we hurry jasmine will be her soon" I said taking my seat. Jasmine is one of my friends, one of the only ones who doesn't hang with me just to get something or an invite to my parties.

"Whats up is it you moving? You know i want a long distance relationshi-" he couldn't finish his sentence i cut him off.

"I know you do, but i don't think i could handle it. I am starting at a new school and i dont want things to get harder because i have a long distance relationship weighing my shoulders down as well." I looked up at him, watching his smile fade away.

"But- I.... YOU SAID IT WOULD WORK!" He said standing up from the table.

"Shhh, we don't need to cause a scene" I said looking around the shop to the people who started to stare.

"NO. I don't need to. You said to me and jasmine that nothing would change."

"look Blake i know i said that but-"

"I knew it! you only liked me because of who i was in the school community. Star Football player. Sounds like one of those sickening movies you made me sit through all the time."

"Blake i-"

"No, No more." he said leaving.

"please just let me talk-" 

"Have a fun new life." he said slamming the door shut.

I couldn't believe that. But its for the best, I thought grabbing my phone as i noticed that jasmine still wasn't here. I quickly texted her:

Hey Girlie, Its done. :( Where you at?

Seconds later i got a message back from her.

So he's single? Yeah um soz hun i'm a little caught up right now. See you at school?

I sighed and told her OK. I grabbed my coat and then headed for the door, starting to prepare myself for the cold that is waiting to consume my body. I walked about 100 meters and turned the corner to the short cut to school. This is usually where the couples go to snog, i thought about Blake again. 

"mmm yeah" I heard as i walked. That sounded familiar, i turned my head to see jasmine kissing... Blake? I stopped and dropped the coffee cup, causing it to crash to the ground. That's when their eyes snapped up to mine. I felt a tear fall to my cheek, followed by lots more. 

Jasmine looked at me.

"OMG! Um its isn't what it looks like" she said begging for forgiveness. I trusted her.

I thought about how forgiving i normally, but i felt a rage inside of me that prevented me from forgiving. That is the girl i used to be but now? 

That girl is long gone

I just turned at ran the rest of the way to school.

Today is going to be a long day.

Well this was a start to a dramatic book. If you think this book is moving to fast let me know. Just saying this is part is supposed to move along fast. I am hoping for you to help me with this book.
