It has been quite some time since I have last updated. I am so sorry that its been almost a year since my last update. I wish I had a legitimate excuse, but truth is, I just haven't had time to write. But I'm here now and finally have another chapter to deliver to all of you lovely people! So here goes!

________________________________________________________________________________

I woke up in the impala with a start. I looked around and tried to take in my surroundings. I was so confused. Where was that motel? Why was April actually there and who the hell was this? She passed all of the test we threw at her. My head was throbbing at all of this new information. My mind was reeling, trying to think of all the possibilities that could be happening right now. A voice pulled me from my thoughts.

"Sammy? Hey, are you okay? Sam?" Worry was etched on Dean's face. He was staring at me, snapping in front of my face trying to get my attention. April but not real April was leaned over the back seat trying to see what was going on. I pulled back a little bit not wanting to be too close to her. Dean saw this minute reaction but didn't say anything about it. "Hey Sam, what the hell just happened?"

"I....I don't really know. I was walking to the car and then I woke up here." I wasn't ready to tell Dean about my astral projections or whatever they were. I still didn't even know what to think of them myself. All I know is that this isn't Ri. I intend to find out what she is too.

"You just collapsed Sam. I looked over and you were on the ground, out cold. I didn't know what the hell was going on." He was clearly freaking out about this.

"I think it was just a little fatigue. I haven't been sleeping much lately and the fight must have taken a little more out of me than I thought. I'm okay, really." He seemed to believe me because he looked back at the wheel and started the car up. With that we made our way back to the motel room. The whole way back I was racking my brain. This wasn't right. What was happening? How could this person look like someone we've known for years? I was at a loss. Before I knew it, we were back at the room. We all got out of the impala and made our way inside. Dean and "Ri" made their way to the bed talking about something. I walked over to the table my laptop was on and started it up. I needed to figure out what she was. I pulled up google chrome and tried to think of what to look up. I started with "strangers who look alike." This pulled up something about doppelgängers. This peaked my interest and I was curious to see what this article had to say about them.

"The mythology of spirit doubles can be traced back thousands of years and was present in many cultures of the past, holding a prominent place in ancient legends, stories, artworks, and in books by various authors. Perhaps the most well-known reference to spirit doubles or 'alter egos' is the doppelgänger, a word still used today to refer to a person that is physically or behaviorally similar to another person. Doppelgänger is a German word many "double goer" and refers to a wraith or apparition that cast no shadows and is a replica or double of a living person. They were generally considered as omens of bad luck or even signs of impending death – a doppelgänger seen by a person's relative or friend was said to signify that illness or danger would befall that person, while seeing one's own doppelgänger was said to be an omen of death.

Some accounts of doppelgängers, sometimes called the 'evil twin' suggests that they might attempt to provide advice to the person they shadow, but that this advice can be misleading or malicious. They may also attempt to plant sinister ideas in their victim's mind or cause them great confusion. For this reason, people were advised to avoid communicating with their own doppelgänger at all costs."

SO they could be people, that means they could pass all of the tests thrown at them and they wouldn't raise suspicion. Things were starting to click into place. April had mentioned Crowley, and some joke he was playing. How long had he been holding her captive? Why hadn't we heard about this before?

"Hey Dean, can I talk to you for a minute please, outside." He gave me a skeptical look but got up and followed me none the less. When we were down the sidewalk a little ways, enough so that April's evil twin couldn't hear us, I began my explanation. "So lately I have been having these things....dream like states I guess. It's more like astral projection. In these moments, I'm taken to places I don't recognize. I'm not really sure why or how I get to these places, but I do. And when I'm there, I see someone...."

"Sam, are you going to tell me what's going on, or are you just going to ramble all day?" He looked at me, confusion written all over his face.

"Well I see April. Like the real April. She being held and doesn't know where she is or how to get out. She's trapped." At this point his face showed disbelief.

"April's inside the room Sam. She's right there. She has been here for a little while now." I could sense his irritation at my accusations.

"Dean listen to me. The day you brought Ri back to the room I stitched her up. The funny thing was, she didn't have any of her normal scars or marks. None of the proof from the numerous times she had been hurt working cases with us. If you don't believe me, go look for yourself. Remember the poltergeist case we worked in Orlando? Ri got thrown out of the window and there was a huge gash on the inside of her right arm. Like 6 inches long Dean. Go look. Tell me if it's still there." I was desperately trying to convince him that the person in our room wasn't our friend.

"Fine, let's go take a look. But don't think I'm not going to tell you I told you so when the scar is still there." He turned and walked back to the room with me trailing behind him. "Hey Ri, can you come here for a second?"

"Sure thing Dean. What's up?" She stood in from on him. She had shed her coat earlier when we got back and changed and was wearing a light pink sleeveless blouse and some jeans.

"Flex for me. Show me those guns." He smiled lightly at her and she looked inquisitive, but complied with his request. He had a perfect view of her inner arms and was scanning for the scar he knew should be there. He looked over and over again; he seemed sure he was just overlooking it. "Thanks love. You're almost up to par with my gun show." He smiled and gave her a slight nod. She smiled back and rolled her eyes.

"Oh Dean, what am I going to do with you and your big ego?" With that he gave some short reply and excused us again. She just sat on the bed scrolling on her phone picking some dance music and laid back on the bed.

"Do you believe me now Dean? It wasn't there was it. None of the scars she should have are there. Absolutely none of them. That girl in there, she is not April." Dean paled and looked like he was going to be sick.

"What the hell is she then? She passed all of our tests Sam! How could she look like her and not be her or anything we know to test for?!" He was nearly screaming. He took a second and recomposed himself. "How is this even possible. She even sounds like her. She has all of April's memories. Everything lines up but the scars."

"I did some research after we got back a while ago. The little fainting spell I had earlier, that was me going to the real April again. I racked my brain trying to think of things that she could be, so I did some research. It turns out that there are things called Doppelgängers out there. They are like evil twins of a person. There are rumored to be shadows of people, and they are normally death omens. They aren't a good thing to have pop up apparently. They can be human which would account for her being able to pass all of the tests. I didn't read anything about memories or anything, but I'm willing to be that Crowley can do something like that. He has before. April was telling me that Crowley had something to do with her disappearance, and she thought I was some trick he was playing on her again.

I gave her my bracelet and told her I would be back for her. We have to find her Dean. I promised. She is totally freaked out and doesn't know what to do with herself. I'm worried Dean. Crowley has to have something big up his sleeve, sending Ri's shadow twin to us, acting like our girl. Hell, she was so good we had no idea that she wasn't the real deal. Something big is going to happen and we have to find Ri and figure out what the hell that English prick is up to." I was really worked up about this and Dean looked like he was still absorbing all of the information I just spewed out. It took a few seconds but it finally clicked with him. He looked at me, determination set on his face, anger in his eyes.

"Son of a Bitch. Let's go figure this out then." He turned and made this way back to the room. I followed behind anxious to see what his plan was. It definitely wasn't going to be anything good,
